Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Tuesday apologized again for the widespread postponements of vaccination appointments across the country, and for misunderstandings surrounding the government’s vaccine management, while making promises of more vaccines to be delivered to fulfill the goal of having 70% of the population vaccinated by year end.

Last week, he offered his apologies as postponements were made at the start of the mass inoculation campaign nationwide on June 7th.

In his Facebook post today, the prime minister said he takes full responsibility for all the problems adding, however, that a problem may occur any time, especially during the initial period when COVID-19 vaccines are limited.

Promises, misunderstandings, bluster, blame, and blah-blah-blah.

For heaven's sake vaccinate people, starting with those who are more vulnerable or in positions of care (that's not generals in case you're wondering), and start to put the country on the road to recovery.

Without vaccination the future is looking pretty bleak while many parts of the world are making their way out of the pandemic.

He's beyond hopeless as is his hapless bunch of rogues, drug dealers and crooks he calls a government. Anyone competent is pushed out, prosecuted and threatened. Lest we forget, the reason we are all in this mess is a) his administration hijacked the vaccine process for political advantage, and b) took control of this pandemic response this year (for the same self-serving reason) away from the professionals.

He can apologise all he likes ...

No, there was no misunderstanding for their intentions and who for.

Well there was absolutely no caring Junta early bird trying to get any vaccine worms besides the obvious. How many red cards, fouls, or strikes given them until enough is enough even by their standards? Of course there are no penalties as is always offset with out right lies as they can do no wrong.

The Thai government’s COVID-19 vaccination rollout is going according to plan, according to Government Spokesperson Anucha Burapachaisri

I interpret the clown apologising on numerous occasions as "it certainly ain't going to any sensible plan" !

My wife says he can stick his promises in a syringe and give himself an enema with it!

And you think they actually want to or will take the bulk of the saved the day heyday from a certain main winning contract Thai producer or take away from the praise given to the Chinese and an invested Thai company in lieu of really securing and importing other really wanted vaccines? More than likely not likely.

Back in reality accoring to TAT today fewer than 176,000 have had 2 shots out of 67 million and even fewer 3 weeks after 2 shots or put more simply over 97% of a state with unsecure borders is relaxing measures !

I don't think it for more than a nanosecond. But the bare-faced lies and utter disregard for human life is sickening.

Not good enough.

You stole power. You screwed everything up. Time to go.

Well that's how it is here, how it's been for ever, and how it likely always will be, pending events we cannot discuss here.

You can't live with it it, you don't have to stay.

The new Thai vaccine will be known as AP Apology Postponement in honour of the Czar ????

The endless apologies are one of the consequences of wholly unqualified people assuming they are sufficiently disposed to run a country after taking and consolidating their powergrab .. when such a administration runs into the worst health crisis the world has known for a century then the results were unfortunately ( for the Thai people ) entirely predictable ..

who knows where this will end now as the point has been reached with so many conflicting accounts on the whole Vax issue that you would be forgiven for not believing another word that comes from the whole collective of them ..

Yes indeedy! But look on the bright side, you can bet everyone of them is already jabbed up with a vaccine and we need not worry one bit about them not being safe and getting ill or passing away and not being able to take care of everyone and everything running the country. And then all bets are on it was with one of their imported choices even if AZ and probably not what is offered locally. Because they maybe wanted to test them out for the General Public’s safety first.

They only lie to keep us from worrying, so I hope that clears things up and sets your mind at ease. And the big Cheeze did say he is sorry. Didn’t you see his lips move?

And that right there is the $99 golden answer. I wonder if all these behind the scene decision makers all sit at a round table as well. Knights they are not.

I apologise but what are you going to do. Next election rigged. People uprising he'll put his uniform back on and bring out the army. This bloke's as mad as a cut snake. Do not discard a Myanmar situation here. This man got power through a military coup and will keep it at any cost.

Vaccinate with what? It's clear that the vaccines aren't there in the numbers they have promised.

I don't like a lot about them, but if they do it then it will be done effectively by competent people at a cost that people can afford.  Bring it on. A definite improvement.  They will get rid of people who can not do their job.

Useless. Only had what 15 months to plan it all out, and it's fallen apart within a week of 'The Big Roll out'.

By year end?

Cancel you New Years eve party plans for in normal fashion here, everything is done in a frantic and circus like atmosphere at the last moment.

Amazing Thailand this government is a joke now I understand why two weeks ago I signed up for the Chiang Mai wall vaccination no appointment date sad and weird to get it the private hospital tells me it won’t be till October  Until I can get the vaccine made in America what I Joke TIT

Let us be a little dramatic and say apologies do not bring people back from the dead.

"Misunderstanding"

Why is the term misunderstood?

Since when did it mean mismanagement or lack of the truth.

Sorry, but this expression may become endemic and we have another problem to add to the woes.

Many ex serviceman have problems to adapt to civvy street as they have been molly coddled in there adult life . Prayut is a good example .
