My heart goes out to all those foreigners who made the great misstep of buying a condo (and/or other properties) in Thailand; just see what they will have to endure to just be able to reach their properties (if not more is added)!

It almost happened to me but I had a great intuition of first visiting a "Thai Immigration Office" before embarking on such an adventure, and behold, what I saw left me in shock and awe! It was the absolute worst sight in Thailand ever (and God knows how many visits I made to that country).

I have been here since 1980 and I cannot believe how many restrictive rules have been borne.  Now Communist Laos and Vietnam are more inviting than Thailand.  This in addition of bars closing at midnight, 90 days report, notification of residence, restrictive buying hours for alcohol, the wearing of locating electronic bracelets for tourists and security checkpoints on the main road leading to the island screening everyone arriving or trying to leave, 300% tax on alcohol, all businesses gone, do they really believe that tourists will be back in 2 years time?  

Lead by example. you and you cabinet should wear them first. And tell us how you feel at the end of each day being tracked everywhere you go. Tourist love their freedom otherwise what's the sense of being a tourist?

Prior July 1st, they might come up with an allocated "minder", who will ensure you stay on path, and don't make any comments that would harm the reputation of this supreme holiday resort, and the sandbox crew of course.

Of course you're going to pay for the extra service.????

Well, if those "minders" would be former go-go bar employees, it might become a success story....the only so far.????????????

They all canceled their plans because of 7 day turning into 14 nothing to with the fact that Phuket will remain closed for all intents and purposes. Not a drink to be had or any fun anywhere just what I want on my hols! A gulag in Siberia sounds just as much fun. Let the good times roll!

just remember to pack a roll of tinfoil to wrap around your wrist, or bolt cutters to remove the tracker!

I am currently out of Thailand working and will be returning late August, i am fully vaccinated  and was hoping that Phuket would be an easier way to return home with out having to do the 14 days quarantine in a hotel in Bangkok which i have have done already in November of  last year, with all these regulation i am think it is best to just do my quarantine in Bangkok again, i don't want to be tracked 24/7 and to have to do a total of 4 PCR test is ridiculous, the cost will be high, however my company pays for my quarantine but in Bangkok the tests are included in the quarantine hotel prices. so lets hope in the mext couple of months maybe somethings will change, but i am getting a good laugh out of the daily flipping and flopping
