  • I expect the UK will soonbe offering the same service to British expats over the age of 97.

  • Only until they discover there are two 98 year old Brits here. Then the bar will be adjusted to 99.

  • The trend had been quite clear ever since the suspension of the 'Income Verification" letters. The US/UK/AUS....couldn't give a hoot about their citizens abroad.

Why should they, how many British subjects have died from Covid in Thailand? AS far as I know it is zero.

Not correct. I know of one Brit who died from Covid in Thailand earlier this year.

Same here

If you are french:
- they already received 10,000 doses of J&J. We must be less than 20,000 in Thailand, enough to vaccine all the french > 55 yo

- with the remaining doses, they will vaccine people > 50yo then > 45 yo ?
- the ambassador said he will import more doses, he said that he wants that all french people living in Thailand can be vaccinated

Was he overweight or had other conditions?

Certificate only in French and Thai ? How will the majority of countries accept the certificate when they can not read it when travelling ?

Not overweight and am not aware of any other conditions.

But that, with all due respect, is beside the point as your earlier comment was rather specific and, to my knowledge, incorrect.

According to e mail received, they vaccinate french under 55 because in France this vaccine is allowed only for people above 55 (french rule applies)

Apparently it is thai government which did not authorize wife thai nationals to be part of the plan.

It is also stated they keep on getting vaccines and thai government authorization for french under 55.

Have a good afternoon

If a individual chooses to live in a country other than his own then one should wait like everyone else for what is on offer .

What's that for to do with race?

French grandson:      "What did you do during the Great Pandemic Grandpa?"

Grandfather:                "I was in Thailand, I got a dose in the Embassy of France."

Grandson:                     "Sacre Bleu! Those guys really know how to party!"

I just phoned the Canadian Embassy about them providing vaccine shots, and I got a prompt email reply.

Thank you for contacting the Embassy of Canada, Thailand.

We understand you have enquiries regarding the availability and access to a COVID-19 vaccine.

Canadian government offices abroad do not provide medical services (including vaccination) or cover medical expenses for Canadian citizens outside of Canada.

In Canada, provinces and territories are responsible for the COVID-19 vaccination rollout plans. Provincial and territorial public health authorities determine the order in which segments of the population are vaccinated and criteria for eligibility.

While Canadian provinces and territories are in charge of planning and rolling out vaccination programs, including administering them, Health Canada is the federal authority responsible for authorizing vaccines and for making sure there are enough vaccines for everyone in Canada.

The Government of Canada is not in a position to supply vaccines for Canadians abroad, administer them nor ensure that the administration by a third party would meet Canadian standards.

If you are considering getting vaccinated abroad, you may wish to consult the list of vaccines approved by Health Canada.

For more information on the COVID-19, including travel restrictions and requirements, consult this webpage:

Local sources of information

While the Embassy of Canada is not in a position to provide advice as to whether or not you should be vaccinated in Thailand, we encourage you to seek information on COVID-19 vaccines on the Thai Ministry of Public Health’s website at Thai Ministry of Public Health’s website at https://service.dmsc.moph.go.th/labscovid19/indexen.php

The Department of Disease Control of Thailand has a new platform for vaccination registration, currently open to “people aged 60+ years old” and “people living with certain underlying diseases/conditions”. Information is available at website http://thailandintervac.com

Please also see the attached infographic from the PR Thai Government Facebook https://www.facebook.com/thailandprd/, which shows the new platform as one of the three methods for foreign nationals to register for vaccination.

Here’s the email subject: “RE: something mistake”.

Oh well ...

60 million J&J vaccines were recently declared non-compliant, France recovered them? Knowing that France is trying all ways to reduce retirees, if I were in French I would have some doubts about taking this vaccine.

???? do you know why they wer non-compliant ? because in the factory ( don't remember where ), the Johnson was mixed by mistake with AZ  ( factory made them both )

You sounded like you were giving a dead man a diagnosis.

Why are you mentioning you are not gay ? Is that a insinuation ?

Let's face it, we are less worthy. Americans over seas are less likely to vote and heaven forbid if any of us Cheap Charlies ever make political contributions. So we are certainly worth less to the political class

Your looking at this from an American mindset where everything is transactionary. The French and Chinese might just be doing this because to them it's the right thing to do for their citizens.
