I've read the second shot is a little worse.

Not always the case... second for me was no impact, except the sore arm again. A pal did have a feverish/ flu like night after his second Pfizer.

what's the best time to be there, to avoid crowds?

they are opened 9-14. After reading reports of hours of waiting for paperwork, I think I will go in the afternoon.

If too long line I will come back the next day.

If there is a backlog for printing those documents, they should tell people to go home and send by post.

Impossible to tell. I went yesterday around 11:30, line was big but moved pretty fast. at midday line was even bigger.

But its super well organised and line moves very fast.

In all seriousness, both jabs, hospital staff, nurses, volunteers did an amazing job at keeping lines moving and making the whole process as smooth as possible.

Can not think of anything that could be done better or faster.

Also amazingly, with so many people, all the staff remain friendly and smiley even when dealing with some super thick foreigners.

EDIT: Sorry not yesterday, but 2 days ago, was out by 12:52, so an hour an a bit

well said, totally agree. I had the same perfect experience

Hot tip for those getting vaxxed at Central. After you get your cert walk straight ahead to the Hokkaido Cheesecake shop for a cake and a coffee. I had the American Brownie; a chocolatey and gooey delight. Nice way to celebrate your vaxxing experience.

Yeah right.... I was there getting jabbed myself last week. Lots of Thai lady escorts there, a mix of the guys who need the physical help, and those who I guessed  preferred not to let their man out of their sight. I did see positive in this though, obviously a lot of long term relationships that have stood the test of time, and belied the common fallacy that such relationships are rare.

Received 2nd Pfizer jab at Central Festival Pattaya yesterday.  Same lot # as 1st jab and they give you a certificate after.

I was a bit surprised it was the same Lot # after 3 weeks. How big are their Lots?

Might have been an opportunity for some Thai partners to just get out of the house for a while. I know my Thai partner of 11 years also accompanied me, not to hold my hand, but to go and do a bit of shopping at Villa market on the ground floor after.

Sorry to say that I am among the many who have had a strong reaction to 2nd shot of Pfizer. I was fine on that day (Sep 15); but the next morning I awoke very slowly, and had a hard time getting out of bed. I checked my temp later, and it was 101 degrees. I remained very tired and feverish all day; and had a bit of a runny nose, as well. I popped a Tylenol 8-Hour pill at about 4 PM. The fever dropped 1 degree. I was feeling a bit better when I went to bed early, at about 9PM. I took another Tylenol 8-Hour at midnight. I slept very well; and awoke this morning feeling quite normal! ... But day 2 was a bit scary. I didn't know what was happening, or how long it would last.

The line for my 2nd shot (Sep 15) was very long; but it moved much faster than the line for the 1st shot. I arrived at the 6th floor at about 9:30; and got to the vaccine area at about 10:30. After the jab, I went to the waiting area. There is a sign posted saying that the certificate may take some time, and advising those who don't want to wait that they can go to the Registration area in BHP to apply for the certificate. (No idea how long that would take!) I waited. It took about an hour for my certificate to arrive. So my total time there there was about 2 hours. That was about 30 minutes less that I was there for my first shot.

Yes, totally agree with you. Considering the volume of people they were dealing with the 2 days I was there I thought the whole process went very smoothly and praise to all the staff involved. Very grateful personally to be vaccinated in a timely manner and free of charge of course.

I've lived in Thailand for over 20 years and I agree after the 2nd jab it's by far the best organised event in Thailand where there were people everywhere. Normally they turn into s**t fights. Many thanks to the staff of BNH hospital who provided this service without the lazy Thai's with attitude who work in government offices.
