I posted a list of 95 hotels in Pattaya which includes one of the most popular and my personal favourite. If you can't find a hotel there to suit your taste and budget than you aren't trying or you have an agenda here.

No, not onerous at all compared to what has been on offer recently. 
 

The type of people whinging about this inconvenience would be the same ones calling the government reckless not so long ago because they were opening up too early and not taking enough precautions.

·         If I have been to a country (not on the list of 46) within the last 21 days I can still go to Bangkok and/or Pattaya after Nov 1 but I have to stay within that “zone” for at least 7 days.

·         I do not have to quarantine in my hotel for 7 days.  I can wonder around Bangkok after I get my first test results.

·         Can I stay 4 days in Bangkok and 3 days in Pattaya or do all 7 days have to be in the same location AND at the same hotel?

·         Ozimoron kindly provided a link to SHA+ hotels in Pattaya.  Does anyone have a similar list for Bangkok?

I don't know for sure but I think you need to stay in your room for 7 days if you are not from one of the 47 listed countries.

The gentleman I spoke with said Covid tests taken before 6 PM will be completed by the next morning.

Assuming this is correct, a two night booking would be required.

Right. I think for many (maybe most), it will be a two-day quarantine.

Of course not.... words only. Like the Pattaya / Bangkok lockdown... people were going to police stations and government offices to try and get passes for the 'blockades' supposedly preventing movement between zones. In reality, there wasn't any problem traveling.
