Thailand has increased the number of countries and regions it will allow fully vaccinated visitors without quarantine under its 'Test & Go' policy.

 

Late on Saturday (Oct 30), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that its list of 'low risk' countries and territories had been increased from 46 to 63.

 

New additions to the list include India, Luxembourg, Vietnam, Taiwan and the Philippines, among others.  

 

The news comes as the Indian community in Thailand last week called on the Thai government to allow Indians to be able to visit Thailand from November 1.

 

Satish Sehgal, chairman of the India-Thai businessmen association, said Indians should be included in the 'low risk' list as Indian tourists are amongst the top 5 spenders in Thailand, visiting the country for tourism, weddings and business. 

 

Thailand is the top overseas wedding destination for wealthy Indians.

 

In 2019, approximately 2 million Indian tourists visited Thailand generating 80 billion Baht in tourism revenue,

 

On Monday (Nov 1), Thailand officially reopens to international foreign tourists for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

Thailand stays on the high risk list for a lot of countries 

Dont expect to see to many Indians any time soon with all the reams of paperwork Thailand and India want...

If above justifies India being added to the Covid 'low risk' list, then Russia needs to lift their game. Surely they should be added for being the biggest drinkers of Vodka in Thailand ????

They can increase to a 100 but there is no guarantee that people will jump on an aircraft knowing the amount of restrictions they have to go through just to get here !

sounds increasingly desperate,what needs to be done is simple,if u r double vacced with a western vacc and can prove it ,enter ,have a covid neg pcr too.no false quarantine scam vis a vis a very expensive hotel for 1 night,thai embassy and govt butt out,no ins  as u r clear on entry and if  catch it you caught it here so thailand must treat you .as thais in other countries are treated if they get it,but the concept of fair play or justice is not one that we see often in thai govt or society ,its grab it now and get as much as u can.chickens are roosting.perhaps there will be a final coup de grace when the screaming selfish northern hordes devour the realm with the help of the junta - subs and trains sets a nd .....all.kharma indeed

Let me know when they to 197 low risk countries as we will be running out of countries.

No African, no Central or South American countries no Mexico......So what does this mean?

If the covid spread worsens, they can blame dirty foreigners again.

Perhaps ....... not earning enough money !

Pretty much the Tourist Visa Exempt countries (with a few exceptions like Andorra), and some Bilateral.

Not sure if this is a serious question, but at least Hong Kong is normally considered a territory, not a country, these are often listed separately. Taiwan probably is mentioned separately to not offend China.

If your an Ozzy  getting travel insurance in Australia to ???????? wont be easy as the Australian government classes Thailand as a Level 3 risk and Travel insurance companies wont insure you so you may have to go thru a Thai company like AXA or Luma which is thru the roof, and has limited  coverage you be mad to Travel without  it. 

A 1 yr insurance policy is 48000 b with Luma

With a limit of 100 k USD that wouldnt last long at a private hostipal covid  coverage is the same 100k but if you use that up your <deleted>.... Anyway

Luma quoted me 31,500 baht for a year. Said it covered the old covid US$100k requirement plus the O-A Visa 400k bt inpatient/40k bt outpatient requirement 

 

There are some high risk countries on this list like Romania. But since everyone entering needs to be vaccinated, have a negative test and a short quarantine, it did not really send to matter where they come from as they impose no threat. The threat is from everything that starts moving connected with tourism like cleaners, tuk tuk drivers etc. I wonder how many of them are vaccinated.
