PHUKET: The first tourists to arrive on the island under the new ‘Test & Go’ scheme landed at Phuket International Airport this morning (Nov 1).

 

A total of 229 foreign tourists arrived on Edelweiss Airlines Flight WK050 from Zurich, touching down at 8am, reported AoT Phuket.

 

Present to welcome the tourists at Gate 11 of the international terminal were staff from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Phuket Office and airline staff.

I am actually surprised it is that high number on first flight.....

So this was the best pic TAT could come up with?  A guy totally disregarding the mask on when in public places rule?

Tourist?? This guy appears to have a Thai partner so could be a returning expat = IMHO it is still zero with 7000 tourist arrivals outstanding, TODAY! TAT - what a joke!

He's Happy cos he didn't have to use Thailand Pass.

That's because us clever people will wait for the eager beavers to iron it out for us. Must be nuts to try do it in the first couple weeks, they probably bought the software from pattaya Tuk Com

The 1^st 7 days is old COE, after the 7^th its New Thailand Pass

 

So I say go now before the 7^th.

3pm news reported that 3k arrivals have been processed through BKK so far, 9 hours to go for the remainder...

Only just landed and he looks like he has struck lucky.....these girls don't mess about.

This is only Phuket, of course, but you can add 264 passengers that arrived on my flight earlier, EK378. My third sandbox entry and for sure the busiest flight and with significantly more tourists.
