Naew Na reported that every serving policeman in the north eastern province of Kalasin must take a urine test for drugs.

Orders have come down from the governor of the province and its acting chief of police Pol Maj-Gen Worawat Mali.

Yesterday Pol Col Amnat Hanchana, deputy provincial commander, oversaw testing at Nong Kong Si police station.

Everyone had to be tested and it all had to be witnessed to ensure it was above board, Amnat said.

He further explained that the police had to be fine examples to the public in all matters but especially in not taking drugs.

He said that a hallmark of the RTP was its upstanding nature.

"Everyone has to be properly tested," he reiterated," not just put a bit of plain water in a cup".

In total 96 tests were done yesterday at the police station and all were negative.

Amnat said the full force of the law would come down on any officer who was proved to have taken drugs.

It is hoped that four to five stations would be tested each day.

Visa-compliant insurance plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m

When will they get away with urine samples? Over here you just swipe your tongue with a little gadget and at will tell you if you test positive.

Got Princes Purple Rain running through my head now

Remarkably opulent looking loos for a cop shop.  I'm sure the Pattaya Soi 9 coppers will be jealously seeking an upgrade to their facilities when they see this photo.

To describe the facilities at Soi 9 as disgusting is an insult to the word disgusting.

What can one say?

Same game. No prostitution and gambling dens in in the provinces. No drugs in the police force. Send notices out to let them know we will be doing drug tests in 10 days time. What a joke.

It will take decades of outstanding, untarnished service by all police to begin to repair the damage they themselves have inflicted on their reputation, nationally and globally. Good luck:

High Hopes

Best police force money can buy.

If this happens there won't be a police force. ????????????

You know you have made it in life when you're in the papers with photos of you watching grown men p**s into small cups.

Did he mention anything about corruption?

9 AM go P!55 in a jar for a Drug test.

10 AM walk into street and start shooting at a Bus Load of People .

Certainly fine examples.

I hope they are using the same kits on themselves that they used a couple of years ago in BKK.

The ones that showed positive results no matter what you did.

the full force of the law----How many plastic bags is that.???

I am sure all police officers have it in the 6  bags for proving there integrity

But they already are the finest examples, only of the worst human qualities, like greed, corruption, utter selfishness and amorality.

Voyeurs in silk jackets in public toilets would arouse suspicion in many countries......

How about a "breathalyzer" test before commencing duties??
