We do not come to Thailand for short-time, short-time, tourist quickies in the bars..

 

We come here because we love it.

 

We do our best to learn the language.

 

We try to be good guests.

 

Life is short.

 

Better, during this short life we lead, to spend our too-few days in Thailand.

 

The grass is never greener, outside Thailand.

 

Just remember what happened to Grace Kelly. She should never have left Philly.

 

So, also remember this:  When you finally find a good roost, like here, then settle down and stop your wanderlust for places imagined that, if you were to get there. would not measure up to where you are now.

 

Thailand is the best place in the world.

 

You are lucky to be here.

 

Note:  During the past week, the weather has been quite cold. I am not used to the cold after having lived here for many years. I just hope the weather will warm up, soon.

I only corrected the OP who somehow pretends he represents the farangs who are here for many years. He doesn't!

You are correct, but I won't say no to a short time, after all, you did say life is short and with only 30 notches under my belt in this short life, I have to make up for the lost time during the Pandemic, if only you could feel my anxiety.

I prefer a bacon sandwich with onions and brown sauce and a cup of coffee in the mornings . 

   I do find that if you have a proper sex session in the evening , like an hour long session , full on , then there's no need to do it again the following morning

Maybe, by then, you will find more understanding about your world.

Have you found the courage to ask your wife about the loan she took out behind your back described in your recent thread? The one where the Thai loans fellow couldn't speak a word of the Queen's English?  (Presumably, you can't speak a word of the King's Thai!)

To be forced into living in one of the most boring countries in the world must be torture for someone like you. 

Where I am in Thailand I'm hoping the sun soon burns off the fog and warms the place up enough to go outside.

What used to be a nice summer day where I lived in America is now a cold Thai day.  (lived on the north coast of California a hot summer day was around 22)

And yes, most of my time here is torture, easily one of the most boring countries on earth. Awful, insignificant, dull, corrupt country. Okay for a holiday, but to live here is a mugs game, but you carry on with the denial old fellow.

I checked back on your history to ascertain exactly how sad an individual you are, living somewhere you hate with a wife who scares you. I know you would never have the courage to tell me to my face to trot off !

I thought somebody here said that many westerners are leaving Thailand for various reasons including that the Chinese is getting closer. They already built a high speed railway into Laos.

Funny enough Kunming is the one city in China that I want to go to, due to no smog, nice climate etc, and this new line runs from Kunming-Vientiane. So if the world ever opens again properly I will look into this.

a.  You are correct.  This is a wonderful land.

b.  I can imagine just how thankful you must feel to be back.

c.  Some guys, who live here, for ages and ages, somehow forget how lucky they are.

d. At the moment, the weather is about 14 degrees C, in the early morning.  Not especially cold, but just a bit too crisp for some.
