So everyone gets a rocket?

I see that you can hover and see a level but how is it that everyone gets a rocket?

Isn't that really way too much graphical NOISE when added to avatars?

Also the rockets all look the same.

If everyone is getting a rocket shouldn't the rocket look different based on the level?

Hopefully this rocket thing is a work in progress, right?

I got a rocket and shield ? Agree about the "noise" its actually obscuring the Avatar .

I don't always agree with JT, but this time, he is absolutely correct. Either assign individual rockets based on contribution (from fire cracker to Death Star), or get rid of them, number of posts and reputation are already visible, so it is obsolete.

There's already a label beneath the avatar giving the posters level of contribution, so the intrusive and pointless graphic is just a waste of band width . 

 

Or do we intend competing with another forum for inanity and have tigers sucking dummies?

In a very difficult-to-read light grey font, as are the light orange and green underneath the profile link.

The Gender & Location labels are in nice easy-to-read black

Can you see that your upper rocket's circle is slightly larger than the lower one? So rocket images will always be slightly larger that posters' avatars, very visually distracting.

 

The score also has no meaning other than the number of posts:

1    0 - 10

2   10 - 30

3   30 - 100

4   100 - 1000

5   1000 - 2000

6   2000 - 5000

7   5000 - 10000

8   10000 -

I find it all rather childish

Luckily it seems that I've been spared all of this silliness so far.

Used to be that people posted hints, tips and even humour, and they would get a  ' thank you'.

Now we have baby facebook  'likes' emoticons  and that cowardly, gringeworthy sour puss face.
