A Thai woman posted a clip on Tiktok on Wednesday, which shows her eye colour has turned an odd shade of indigo after taking medication for treatment of COVID-19, prompting questions about the cause.

Thai PBS reached out to Manoon Leechawengwong, MD, who said eye colour change in a COVID-19 patient is unprecedented for him.

The doctor said that Favipiravir, a medication currently being used to treat COVID-19, has certain side effects, which can include a slow heart rate and hepatitis.

It must be used with caution and cannot be taken by pregnant women, he said, adding that the side effects will disappear shortly after ceasing to take the medication.

Wait until Thai girls find out it can whiten skin...the mad rush is on

I haven't found a single study that showed any level of potency of this drug against Covid. And yet the local covid baboons give massive doses of it to anyone tested positive.

I can only imagine on good reason for that.

Hepatitis is an inflamed liver. Depending on the cause (in this case the medication) it can go back to normal when the medication is stopped.

Good point. Wonder which type of Hepatitus ?  A or B or C  ?  And if you've been vacinated for A and/or B, will you still get it ?

OH, and will someone please mark this topic for an update every month or so to see if her eyes color change back.

If it can make your skin turn yellow, then I can't really see it catching on !????

Did the girls pink hair grow back, after it began falling out from being vaxed ? or was it those chemicals in her hair treatments. Never heard of that one again since.
