I must admit seeing such Zs here would trigger me in similar ways to when I've seen Nazi symbols and red maga hats here. I hate fascism regardless of national flavor. As yet haven't seen a Z here. Not

Not saying I would start a fight though. I'm probably no match for a typical drunken Putinista gopnik.

I well remember after Russia stole Crimea and there were massive crowds of Putin base provincial Russian tourists here. Then I saw many fascist Putin  t shirts and the stench of empirical arrogance. It was vomitous of course but so outnumbered.

I have not seen any Z symbols but have seen anti Russian graffiti:

No Russians.jpg

Immediate deportation would be the answer, but Thailand would not want to offend one of the tourist markets they have left.

Not sure that works.

That's more anti communist.

Russia is not communist.

Hopefully no Thai schools will stage a Z themed fancy dress parade.

Correct, they are fascist, which is just at bad.

Z?  Z?

Surely that means they support Zelensky and the Ukraine

or have they cocked that up too?

I have seen the symbol issuing from police boxes in Pattaya......????

Z for Zelensky! Even if it meant something crazy, or support for King Vlad, who could take a Russian fascist seriously anyway?

The majority of Thais that I know fully support Russia. They get their news from some Thai channel that resends Russian tv. Anything from CNN or BBC according to them is fake news.

No, it does not.

Well if Thailand is pro Putin rather than just neutral they won't make any difference in the eventual outcome.

Realistic photos are even more off-puting (sic).

I'd be surprised if I did. The few Russians I've seen in Pattaya seem pretty nervous, lowkey and doesn't seem like they'd want to bring attention to themselves but of course, you always have the outliers.

Z for Zho-pa maybe?

The guy is trying to tell you he is an complete arße.

Well, I tend to doubt that. But, if that is true, we can all take solace in how spectacularly irrelevant Thailand is on the world stage.

Was having a coffee yesterday and saw some fat head in Jomtien with one on the sleeve of his t shirt.

Seems things right now I think are at a cross roads.  The hate and anger and descension has never been this bad that I can remember in my life time.

They go looking for Nazis in Ukraine - and as it turns out they end up acting worse than Nazis in the country....

Classic case of "the shadow self".

Why does Thailand has a modicum of free speech. Just because it does not follow the US mantra?

They must feel very proud of themselves:

Punks doing that here where they know they will encounter hostiles are obviously doing it only to provoke reactions.

So they are real life trolls.

Best not to feed them.

The last time I encountered a maga hat bozo in Jomtien I did an involuntary double take and rolled my eyes derisively. His reaction turned out he was a Brit not even American was to try to make it a big public scene maybe a fight. He had accomplices and I suspect he was a youtuber trying to provoke a viral video. Sorry not playing. Try that game out on someone else.

At least you know who to hate, boycott etc.......... I asked a while back how Russians would be treated in Thailand by other expats....... It seems the problems are just starting.

Huh?

I think Russians behaving normally are fine here.

Unless they say so or display Z's etc. there is no way to know their position on the special WAR operation.
