Daily News Thai Caption: You can take your "little ones" on a flight

Daily News reported what they referred to as great news for pet owners with dogs and cats.

Nok Air was running a special charter service from Bangkok to Chiang Mai return at a "special" price.

According to the airline's Facebook page two people can travel with one pet for 12,999 baht.

More details about the promotion that will take place in August would soon follow, said the airline.

Normal flight price 800bht/person.

So they're charging 11,000bht for the pet to fly.

Amazing Thailand!

Years ago I sent my rabbit with Nok Air (and my family) to Hat Yai or NST. The rabbit went in the special place for pets, and the price was either 20B or free. I can't remember!

I think that price is a bit rich even for doggy ....

Cheaper to send your pet in a private VIP van, what a ripoff. Plus BS too, it's called "Nok air" but they don't allow pet birds.

Going to have to put in bigger seats for the sick buffalo..eh

I actually taught my dog to fly....

Takeoffs (pulling back on the stick) and level flight, no problem, landings a bit iffy though.

Do the animals have to wear the seat belts that human passengers are required to use?

A real bargain. I am sure it is fully booked for the rest of the year and more

yet again another reason NOT to fly budget airlines.

13k come on man. My dog weighs 2 kilos and can fit in a bag under the seat!

Some airlines especially in the US allow 'comfort animals' to travel with the owner as passengers in the cabin. Personally i would object to a smelly dog occupying the seat next to me on a flight .

Although i did observe after several budget flights  DMK to CNX pre covid some oriental passengers hygiene could have done with an upgrade.

No, first it's 2ppl+ pet return, second 800 is "normal" only in your imagination. I searched a date at random in July, o/w cheapest is 1700B plus whatever.

I think a lot of people who love their pet would use this, it turns out to be a "normal" price for 3 seats r/t.

Then of course I would feel embarassed to fly in a plane painted like a duck.
