Why is it so hard to find any clothes that actually fit in Thailand?

You seem not to know of the clothing market in Aranyaprathet and what happens there..

Wading through the lucrative wasteland

I know the meaning of second hand, and I have my pride.

If I can't afford new clothes anymore, I go back to my home country

Go to a clothes stall anywhere in Thailand and look for second hand clothes. You will find no end of farang clothes cuz that's where they originate from. I would never consider looking anywhere else.

I do the same, plenty of shirts and trousers my size in the secondhand stores, most have been bought new by fashion plates who have only worn them a few times.

My GF loves hunting them out for me.

I could go to a tailor here, and shell out 1500 baht for a pair of trousers. When they only cost 100 baht secondhand, it's no contest.

Not sure about the OP, maybe he needs to lose some weight first.

My missus is the same. Only 20-30 Baht for a European size shirt. You can't go wrong. When it comes to trousers they're more inclined to cut the legs off and make them into shorts.

I'm 140 cm and 109 stones or 800 lbs or 458 kg or whatever...

sail from my sailboat isn't big enough for one of my legs.

anyhow, used clothes are great.  Shorts, shoes, pants, but I'm not sure about shirts.

New shirts is probably the way to go.

Used jackets, sure.  Used hats, probably fine.

But used shirts?   Nah.  You might have to spend 500 on some semi-bad <deleted>, but whatever.  Big C has stuff that will work for a month or two...

I am now stitching together TEN king size mattress sheets and it's still not big enough for my belly!!!!!!

Here in the North you have already problems to get XXL size for shirts. Why? Walk on the street and you will never see a "heavywight". Here is no KFC, MacDonald, and nearly no fastfood. Furthermore here are lots of hilltribes who must work hard for their own food or go/walk long ways through the mountains. They don't have a nightlife with open pubs on the mainroads, consuming a lot of beer.

But walk here through our village on the main road, you will forget all ladies in the  bars, nighhtclubs, beauty saloons etc, you will see slender young (boys and) girls. They don't need plastic surgery, they are slim, beautiful by nature. They easily can hide their bodies behind the fat bodies of the townspeaple or fat falangs!

I'm a 1XL in the US, 2XL in Pattaya and a 4XL on Lazada. No real standards.

Yes correct I think 4X or 5X extra large on Lazada is the size westerners need.....I am 5.9 with a few extra pounds and I need 4X or 5X..

Is that a euphemism(s) for undercover work with fringe benefits?

If not then maybe we should drop the subject and engage in some more......?

Saw 3x-5x today at Union Mall across the road from Central Ladprao.  Stopped in on the way back from Chatuchak DLT as we took the MRT there and back.  2nd floor has many shops that sell the large sizes.

Do the doors retract so the Americans can be rolled in and out?

Too big for the Americans. But the good news is that Aliexpress has The Brit Uniform in sizes that'll fit, if the Brit can overcome his bigotry against Chinese (avoiding the usual offensive racial slur, now contrary to forum rules).

The beloved checked shirt, which could look like the crumpled version from an East End Thrift Shop after some wearings:

And the mandatory cargo pants:

Up to sizes 12XL or so. I dunno about white socks and sandals but probably.

Just do a search for "[ITEM] men big size" on the site.

I rarely wear clothes.

I mean that, since the pandemic, I do not go out.

No clothes are, therefore, required.

Mostly, I just wear a towel, or nothing at all.

I can only assume that there are very many like me who do the same.

I rarely wear clothes at home, luckily for my neighbours my little plot has a nice tall wall around it to shield them from my naked butt.

I knew there were others like me of similar persuasion.

We are living in a very hot climate, getting hotter by the year.

And, therefore, why not just be comfortable when there is no one to see.

Just go naked inside one's own house.

Do what you like!
