Hum, just felt the earth move for me.

First my Laz Boy Chair shook and as it settled down I could see a bamboo bookcase shake.

Last time this happened was a few years back and an Earthquake in Burma was reported.

It’s still dark nighttime and only illumination is my TV.

felt like it. from mae rim

Yeah,  it woke me up.  The bed was shaking, windows rattling and could hear a faint rumbling.

Felt it too, quite distinctly (4:37am). But just before that, I heard what sounded like a distant explosion.

the ground definitely moved, but it wasn't an earthquake. more like a rubix cube.

First a rumble for a second  then quite a jolt here in Chiang Mai city

I was rolling over and half awake at exactly 4:37 a.m.

At first I thought it was a huge gust of wind that rattled the house but I got up and all was calm as to wind...

My gf was singing, "You shook me all night long!!!!"  AC/DC

I said, "Sweetie, that's an earthquake and there might be an after shock of 8.1!!!!!!"

She said, "8.1, it felt more like around 4.5"

Woken by large double bed moving and loud noise - recognised it as an earthquake due to previous experiences of approx 4.2 quakes on business trips to Japan. Two dogs asleep on bed - each opened one eye, wagged at me and went straight back to sleep. No damage.

G/f said the dogs woke and started barking when it happened...south-east CM.

Never felt a thing......am freezing in UK though, there is that...
