Sanook Thai Caption: Pit Bull attacks condo resident

Sanook reported on what they called was a drama playing out at a condominium after an online post on "Yak Dang Diaw Jat Hai Return Part 5.2".

The footage showed an aggressive Pit Bull attacking a woman outside a lift.

The owner of the vicious dog had difficulty restraining it as the woman fled with a leg injury.

She said: You may think your dog is lovely but not all of us agree.

The juristic person at the condo said they had been unaware of the pet being kept in the condo.

It had been there for two years.

The condo allows pets but have a rule allowing animals that are only up to 10 kilos in weight.

Would never even consider living in a condo that allowed pets......and I'd be the first to report any sightings.

(I own an English Bull Terrier...but only because we have plenty of land.)

Combination of the two.

No need for big, (potentially) aggressive dogs.....certainly in an urban environment.

Owners by and large are selfish idiots.

There are two American Pit Bulls in our village, neither with collars and both allowed to roam freely.

That's it? Who writes this stuff? What about the dog owner? Is he locked up yet?

Well... We’ve had enough of these ‘aggressive dog threads’ to know the issues... but they are still being defended by some with comments such as ‘its not the dogs fault’ etc...

... I don’t care.. IF a dog needs to be well trained to have its natural aggression and instinct 'trained out of it’ then there is something very wrong already....

Oh, another failure about following my advice regarding total eradication of these breeds.

But then, I give lots of advice to my GF, same failure level.

Oh well, I try to keep on smiling....

Usual comments from people that have never owned these dogs.

Generally Pit Bulls are only dog aggressive.

There's plenty incidents of other dog 'attacks' but generally most unreported due to lesser damage than pit bull attacks.

I've had 3 pit bulls, no problems at all, great dogs that get a bad rep.

Of course there is idiot owners that do not train them properly.

Hope the dog does not get put down.

Its not YOUR well trained dog thats the problem PJ71... You may be a great dog owner.

The problem is the other owners who fail to train their dogs and when they don’t these dogs can be aggressive and deadly (the stats prove this).

This is not the same as failing to train a cocker spaniel or golden retriever which does not have an ‘aggressive instinct’ or undergone generations of breeding to be aggressive and attack.

These dogs are dangerous unless well trained.

And when you comment.. 'Usual comments from people that have never owned these dogs'

Well of course we haven’t opened these dogs... Its because we are not stupid..

.... we know these dogs need lots of space, experienced ownership, dedicated time, skilled training....  IF we cannot provide this we know these types of dogs become aggressive and dangerous - thats exactly why we don’t have them.

Any person who owns these dogs in an inner city environment without the space, time and experience to train them properly is a selfcentered ayhole for creating a danger - we read of this again and again.

No collar means no one is prepared to take ownership ‘when’ they do attack someone.

They should be removed immediately before they attack a child playing in the street.

IF someone does claim the animals are theres then they should be prevented from owning such animals as they are unable to control them and keep them within the confines of their property.

If I was a parent in that moobaan I’d take action before my child is injured riding their bicycle in the street etc...

Dog was clearly startled and nipped the girl. Hardly national news (apart from the fact it's a PitBull so it gets clicks).

Happened to me a month ago when I was up on our farm, on our land, by a local unchained neighbour's dog. I wonder why that didn't make the news? I guess it wasn't a bull breed so it wouldn't have got all the pearl clutchers up in arms.

Yes it's the usual excuses, the poor innocent little doggie was provoked/startled/badly trained/bad owner etc. PitBulls are killers and are often unpredictably and incredibly aggressive, with no excuses.

Hysterical nonsense. Get a grip.

Yes the excuses for these vile aggressive dogs is hysterical nonsense, they are banned in several countries for a good reason. They are no more suited to be pets than having a crocodile in the house.

The owner must be taken back to the woodshed.

Give it a flying lesson off the top floor.

That could easily have been a child on its own.

Still nots the dogs fault, does not change the problem. I think these dogs should not be kept by most people. I am pretty sure experienced responsible owners with a lot of knowledge could. But I doubt its a good idea for the average person.

Its easier to control an agree poodle then an angry pitbull. I love dogs, dont think i would ever want one of those aggressive breeds. Actually after having had a dog i dont want one at all anymore. But that is not related to aggression but freedom.

Hardly serious enough to make the news headlines

It wasn't the headline news, it was one article amongst many others and it is of interest to many.

i just built a house with a moat and the wife asked the same if we could get some crocs
had to remind her we got 8 dogs LOL

as usual bad owner giving the dog a bad name
usual ????s screaming its the breed
by that logic we should ban Ford cars
Owner in video is clearly incapable of handling this breed and totally unprepared for such circumstances
