Featured Replies

Hello

Is it allowed to smoke on the beach?

People are smoking at Patong beach snd there are butts on the sand.

And you felt so strongly about this that you needed to make a post. ????

You should write a strongly worded letter to the people in power, that'll teach them smokers.

Well start picking up the cig butts and try and track down the owners to have them put in Jail.....Sounds like you have loads of spare time....This should keep you busy....

Pour a bucket with sea water over their burning cigarettes. If you put such videos on the Internet they might be famous. I would watch them. Send me the link! ????????

DNA testing will be necessary as well as lipstick matching for those ladies of the night, I meant ladyboys of the night.......

This sounds like a serious hazard. You should send a polite letter directly to the King. He's pretty well know, so just address it to "His Majesty the King of Thailand. Bangkok, Thailand". Please let us all know how he responds.

I think it's a bit unfair teasing the op like this. The law that banned it is still in place. A great deal of hoo ha when it came in, at least on Pattaya beach. They even installed a smoking booth. No one to enforce it? Of course not, except perhaps in front of the Pattaya beach police station. But when l was iin Pattaya a couple of weeks ago I asked when I rented a deck chair. Was told no you cannot smoke here but you can " up there".

Here here !

It may be or appear as a non starter in LOS but the highly concentrated toxic poisonous butts of cigarettes are very damaging to the environment.

For all those who say so what, or what a w@nk this post is go take a look at the world (and especially LOS) being awash with pollution and your whinging about smokers and butts in the beach (smokers notoriously throw their butts anywhere they please) is even more of a Delete.

Then I suggest you go take a good look at the volume of such toxic cr@p humans chuck into the environment willy-nilly where you live and consider it is the world you live in too.

When you go to swim and one day find you simply cannot anymore because the water is so foul, and the sand so polluted you find you cannot any longer go near it then you can reflect on your cynical and self-defeating thinking and rhetoric.

I am sure the sand on the beach is still fine - apart form the dog-ends of cigarettes ...........

Really ruins it when you smell the stench of some inconsiderate priks cigarette after a surf or swim, more often than not the same ignorant person probably drops the finished cigarette in the sand because why would they care about the rubbish?

Then again if they're stupid enough to be smoking in this day and age then you can't really expect much more from them.

agree mate these people could eat sh##

I very rarely see people smoking on the beach and I've never seen a stub in the sand - maybe that's because I never go to Patong during the day, only Kamala, Laguna, Layan, Nai Thon, Nai Yang - a nicer class of people once you get away from Patong.
