In many such cases, a gag order is issued to stop the defendant from talking nonsense.

As I understand it, in Trump's case, it's been upgraded to a ball-gag order.

Stormy spanked him, and now a fat black guy will gag him. Kinky!

Can you be specific. Which "more serious stuff" are you referring to? Colluding with Russia to cheat in an election? Encouraging his supporters to duff up and pour bleach on a poor black actor out for

Many U.S. presidents, including Biden, have issued executive orders.  This is in direct conflict with the Constitution's separation of power.  During the first few weeks in office, Biden issued 30, yes 30, executive orders.  Maybe you have a different idea what "separation of power" means.

Donald Trump signed a total of 220 executive orders from January 2017 to January 2021.

"United States presidents issue executive orders to help officers and agencies of the executive branch manage the operations within the federal government itself".

List of executive orders by Donald Trump - Wikipedia

A recent poll of liberals reveals:

"He's been making us gag forever WITHOUT a gag order".

There's also a charge called contempt of court that he appears to absolutely itching for.

A ruling judge will say:

"Contempt? The feeling is mutual".

What's your point?

There is no specific provision in the United States Constitution for Executive Orders. However, Section 1 of Article II (the Executive Power) is generally viewed as granting authority for such orders. Section 1 says simply: “The Executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.” Sections 3 and 4 of Article II provide potential limitations on executive action (including Executive Orders) in stating that the President shall “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed” and in providing for impeachment and removal of the President in cases where the President is convicted of “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

After Trump is sitting in a cell, he'll say:

"This is absolutely unpresidented"

Maybe they will find him an oval cell to make him feel at home!

Best really do some research to understand this better sir.

Article II of the U.S. Constitution vests executive powers in the President, makes him the commander in chief, and requires that the President “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” Laws can also give additional powers to the President.

While an executive order can have the same effect as a federal law under certain circumstances, Congress can pass a new law to override an executive order, subject to a presidential veto.

So has congress vetoed the executive orders Made by Trump or Biden?

In my opinion, they are pursuing the wrong line of attack. Nailing him for the Stormy thing seems lightweight. I think it is evidence that they are not sincere about putting this crime lord away. If they were, they would go after him for bank fraud or tax fraud. No doubt he is guilty of many counts. And no doubt those charges would not only stick, they would likely result in this sad mans spending many of his remaining years in prison.

But, I don't think there is political will to lock up an ex president. These charges would appear to confirm that.

Yet you don't mention Biden or his coke filled son?  power corrupts and I'm pretty sure they are all corrupt if they pick on Trump all Hell will break loose and he will be acquitted anyway

Here are the obligatory death threats and hate speech directed to Bragg from the loony far right. This is what happens when Trump fires of more than 50 truth social posts after news of his indictment.

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg inundated with racist emails, death threats amid Trump indictment; ‘We are everywhere and we have guns’

Included in a litany of profane, typo-laden emails sent to Bragg on the heels of Trump’s Thursday indictment were overtly racist and anti-Semitic insults and threats on the DA’s life. The largely anonymous onslaught comes as Trump’s incendiary rhetoric directed at Bragg, widely condemned as both violent and racist, escalates to a fever pitch following his indictment. Bragg is Manhattan’s first Black district attorney.

Right-wing conspiracy theorists frequently invoke Soros, a Jewish billionaire philanthropist supportive of progressive causes, on Friday, Soros confirmed on Twitter that he didn’t know Bragg and didn’t even donate to his campaign.

To date, there is no good evidence that Biden committed a crime. As for Hunter Biden, are you referring to the former non President and current non ex-President?

Of course death threats, to anyone, must and should, be utterly condemned. However Bragg has made a political decision where other jurisdictions have dismissed the case. It reminds me of "LOCK HER UP" which is absurd too. This will divide and Trump will come out as a hero to his supporters. Make him a martyr?  be careful what you wish for.

Bragg made no political decision, the jury made the decision to indict, you can't even get that right...................

They could prosecute Bidens son anytime they want, they just need evidence which is not truly there....True evidence is what they have on Trump.  You Trump apologists and supporters just don't see it. To you there's nothing there.

It is clean when you prosecute folks for crimes committed and thus hold all accountable, much like Trump said he would do, but didn't, and then he went and committed crimes himself.....double edged sword sir. One that Trump sharpened and will cut him to the quick as well.

Jail time not so sure because of his status, yet it will probably be house arrest under the supervision of the secret service where he will not be allowed to leave the residence, much like wearing an ankle monitor...yet convicted yes.

What a ridiculous question, its the jurors verdict that is the point.

“The charges filed yesterday were brought by citizens of New York, doing their civic duty as members of a grand jury, who found probable cause to accuse Mr. Trump of having committed crimes in New York.”

Let's see? I think the case is very weak. To try to get a jury to believe a payment is a political problem is absurd. I think much depends on where the case is heard - NY is the worst prospect for Trump but he'll appeal and win I think.

I'm assuming that you are referring to the burisma  "scandal". As has been repeatedly proven, Joe Biden was acting on the instructions of none other than the president of the United States and the state department in pushing for the removal of a corrupt prosecutor who later claimed that he was pursuing burisma. His own staff says that was a lie. In fact, he wasn't going after any of the oligarchs including the owners of burisma.

How dumb and reckless has Trump been, knowing how much scrutiny he would be under as a potential President or as President, not to have the right legal people in place to make sure he broke no laws. Similar to some degree or other for the calls to Georgia, the treatment of records, and January 6.

A political problem? Your trying to say this is not a violation of using campaign finances and violating laws in order to bribe someone.  Really? On what planet do you live sir.

Ethics aside, which Trump has none to speak of, anyone else doing what he did would do time. Wait Cohen already did....and .....quite a few others.

How Trump could reap $100M windfall from Stormy Daniels indictment

The left, always a day late and two or more steps behind.

I believe Trump is loving this.

If so a lot of Democrats will be happy. A diminished , or further diminished, candidate has the funds and passion from the maga punters, to win the Republican candidacy but then loses in a landslide when the average person can't fathom having 4 more years of that.
