How many millionaires convicted of paying off a prostitute end up in Sing Sing? Asking for a friend.

I doubt if the charges are for paying off a prostitute, but I agree that the possibility of jail or prison time is very remote.

Then again, there's always a first time.

Can you be specific. Which "more serious stuff" are you referring to? Colluding with Russia to cheat in an election? Encouraging his supporters to duff up and pour bleach on a poor black actor out for

Only thing left for the judge to do, is restrict him leaving the state.  Make it impossible to hit the campaign trail.

If you think you can't beat the opposition at election time, have them arrested.  ????

Nobody above the law is a ‘new low’ how?

All that this will lead to is now is heavily republican states - say Florida and Desantis - deciding to get his DA to bring charges of bribery against Biden and Biden will be indicted too - and the case for bribery against Biden seems far stronger than to payments to a porn star, that she says never happened, paid by someone other than the person indicted !

I hate to burst your wild fantasy bubble, but a sitting President cannot be indicted.  This is why Trump was untouchable while in-office.

That’s weird strange logic Johnny.

We both know what it's about. You pretending it could be something completely different is just a diversionary tactic and quite frankly boring so forgive me if I get back to more interesting conversations.

Better still is the judge issuing a gag order so no one can discuss the case in public.  Of course, this would be an order that Trump would be incapable of complying with.

That’s not the only thing left for the judge to.

Anyways, if, as Trump supporters often claimed, Biden could run a winning campaign from his cellar.

Love him or hate him this is a set-up. It will further divide America and expose Sorus backing to certain DA's. Hunter gets nothing despite drug fueled videos?  and arrest Trump for a payment unrelated to politics?  SERIOUSLY?

Sorry Johnny, you’re magical powers to determine what it is I know are failing you.

Make your arguments on facts please, not imagining what you think others know.

Rupert is lovin' the indictment for a surge in ratings and profit.

I hope and indeed expect that the judge will order the twice impeached Florida man to muzzle any speech or social media that can even remotely be seen as inciting or predicting violence. Violation would mean contempt of court charges.

Let see if he will keep mum in the courtroom. Normally attorneys advise clients to keep mum but can he. He likely to be caught up in the moment and make silly statements that will not help his situation and can land him in other problems.

Trump reminds me of the Dutch boy running out of fingers to put in the dike, IMO this is the start of a flood.

How on earth did you drag Soros into this? Why even?

It’s not some kind of a Rightwing  code is it?

Rupert has his own problems, the Dominion case looks very strong.

Arresting a former President who will be the next candidate is a form of violence and an attempt to derail democracy. I don't like all that Trump does or says - he's a huge egoist - but this is obvious politics and will have huge ramifications for democracy.

DYOR and I am not right wing actually despite your trolling. I am pro abortion, anti-guns and pro-environment. In fact I am left of center.

Wow, thats for sure. Unfortunately the dike is America.

In my opinion, they are pursuing the wrong line of attack. Nailing him for the Stormy thing seems lightweight. I think it is evidence that they are not sincere about putting this crime lord away. If they were, they would go after him for bank fraud or tax fraud. No doubt he is guilty of many counts. And no doubt those charges would not only stick, they would likely result in this sad mans spending many of his remaining years in prison.

But, I don't think there is political will to lock up an ex president. These charges would appear to confirm that.

Forgive me, mistook your off topic Soros  post as a right wing conspiracy, it had that ring to it.

Let’s see what the actual indictments are.

if you're looking for other indictments, I'm pretty sure they are on the way. There are a number of other much more serious cases in process in different jurisdictions.   I'd agree it would be great if one of those had been ready first, but they aren't related and involve entirely different judicial systems. I don't think there was any way to coordinate or time them unfortunately.  But I think you will get your wish.

Here is an very important question,Should there be rule of law in the USA yes or no?

"A form of violence and an attempt to derail democracy"this sounds familiar?

Could it be something that happened in January?

This will be a next case and even bigger.

The question stands, for all US citizens.

Should certain people get away with certain things or not?

Some one will bring Hunter back into this but this is about Donald Trump.

Let the law deal with this!

There is also a element of Trump's fatigue seeping into the mindsets of his supporters. As in the Waco's election rally, attendees were seen walking away from the rally within 30 minutes of his speech. They see nothing new in his speech but regurgitation of playing the victim card and whining about the investigations and decided they have enough and walk off. His endless legal troubles will likely wear down support from his base and to the wider audience.

Next up is his surrender, arraignment and arrest.

Finger printing and mug shots.

Then he gets put before a judge, the indictments are read and recorded and bail set.

The prosecution will have the opportunity to make arguments and present evidence for bail conditions.

Exhibit ‘A’ your honor, the accused’s social media posts intimidating the NYDA.

Trump is for the very first time in his life facing the authority of the Justice system.

He’s not going to enjoy this one bit.

I wonder, the mug shots, surely of genuine public interest.

Justice system? or just us system? It will only make our support for him that much stronger. Wait until the shoe is on the other foot!

Haven’t you yourself just suggested reprisals?

The case that Smith was working on before his present case involved things that happened in the 1990s.  That might give a little hint in how long this DT business is going to take.

The celebrity skiing case now currently making headlines happened in 2016.  DT might be in his grave before any of this is fully settled, but maybe that's the plan: "if I die before they lock me up then I win!"
