I think he will be losing some weight very soon in the Thai chokey.

They ALL should be locked up for life.

Surely only if they are found guilty, in a court of law?

Allright, I gotta ask, what visa is he on?

I doubt they will carry it out, life without parole more likely,

They won't carry it out. They don't on foreigners. He'll get death sentence commuted to life if he admits it, then after eight years served, he can be deported to serve out his sentence in a German jail.

You mean a ' real court of law? ' with judges who are familiar with law and justice is seen to be done?

You do know where you are, don't you?

I wonder what he'll look like in 8 years?

The clue was in his arrest pics.He was hiding in what appeared to be the "Outlaws" clubhouse. In a closet..

Slimmer, I would well imagine.

The man in question will not have a choice as to whether its a 'real' court or not as it will be in Thailand! But point taken.

Either guilty or not: this is why I avoid any contact with any foreigner here - except Burmese -, although being one myself.

Too many expats, especially Westerners or assimilated as such - like my fellow citizens in Phuket not long ago - are extreme troublemakers! Just be in contact with them, and you land for sure at the police station as soon as the first even tiniest problem occurs!

Perhaps you mixed with the wrong type of chums...????

Most likely affiliated with the German Chapter.... Not the Aus one as alluded to by Jacko45k.

Some very interesting images in the above video....

The "uniform" of some of the local SWAT team members doing the raid, shorts and T-shirt:

And then, the motorcycle gang in question seeming to be a regular international organization of criminals, as evidenced by the decorations shown in the hangout where the Olaf suspect was arrested:

I thought all countries had biker gangs, who were perhaps welcome at this venue.......

I also thought all police forces had plain clothed officers...:ninja:

It appears that his fear of airborne Covid is greater than his fear of a death penalty.

When police raid a bar looking for a murder suspect, normally, they WANT to be easily recognized as police... so the criminals know who's coming after them. Especially the first guy thru the door.

+1 here. I have a very low tolerance of toxic idiots, I know a few good down to earth foreigners here and have good well balanced conversations. But most by far have an element of toxicity.

Good job officers!  Should have shot him there on the spot!
Can't believe he thought he'd be able to hide in that  little hole with that big fat visable body of his. .

From dreams of riches and grandeur to a cubby hole in a ramshackle clubhouse. A bit like Saddam Hussein's career trajectory.

Why?  There's plenty of non-slimming food available in Thai jails, through visitors and the prison shops.

Thank you for letting us know about your experience, it is much appreciated ????

I think the idea is to not mix with them in the first place. Ignore and avoid.
