On July 21, 66, Pol. Lt. Gen. Surachet "Big Joke" Hakkapal, Deputy Police Commissioner, revealed a significant breakthrough in the case involving the disappearance and murder of 62-year-old German real estate businessman, Hans Peter Mack, on July 4. Four suspects were apprehended in connection with the shocking crime that had garnered immense attention from the public and media in Nong Prue, Chonburi.

One of the key suspects was Mr. Olaf, a German national and member of the Outlaws gang in Pattaya. Following the arrest, Police Commissioner, Pol. Lt. Gen. Damrongsak Kittiprasop, ordered further investigations to unravel more about the Outlaws gang, reported Siam Rath.

The Outlaws gang is known for its penchant for big-bike motorcycle riding and consists of individuals from various nationalities who often rent locations to gather and engage in various activities in Pattaya.

In the operation, eight locations linked to the Outlaws gang were surrounded and searched by a joint team of officers from Pattaya Police Division 2, Tourist Police, and Immigration Police.

One of the key targets was Mr. Thomas, an Austrian national, believed to be the leader of the Pattaya Outlaws. He attempted to flee but was later apprehended and revealed his leadership role.

Additionally, two foreigners from the USA and from Switzerland had their visas revoked under the Immigration Act because they failed to comply with the visa requirements.

The police also seized four Harley Davidson motorcycles from the operation sites, further linking them to the Outlaws gang.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Surachet emphasized that the Outlaws gang was involved in various illegal activities, such as drug trafficking and human trafficking. The joint effort by the police aimed to root out these illegal elements and maintain safety and security in the region.

He urged the public to report any suspicious activities related to the gang to the nearest police station or the Tourist Police hotline 1155, assuring the community that law enforcement would take decisive action against any wrongdoing.

it really is amazing how fast the BiB spring into action when a foreigner commits a crime in Thailand.   When a Thai commits a crime against a foreigner on the other hand....

  • Considering the effort related to the Cyanide killer I am surprised at that comment.

Pattaya — The Pattaya police arrested the leader of the so-called “Outlaws” gang, along with several other foreign members in connection with the alleged murderer of Hans Peter Mack.

Deputy National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Surachate Hakparn held a press conference Friday afternoon, July 21st, 2023, to declare a successful crackdown on what he called the transnational criminal gang dubbed “Outlaws” in Pattaya, Chonburi province.

According to Pol. Gen. Surachate, the motorbike club was involved in criminal activities and was connected with Olaf Thorsten Brinkmann, the alleged ringleader of a group who murdered German businessman Hans Peter Mack and concealed his dismembered body in a freezer in Chonburi’s Banglamung district.

The police believed Brinkmann was a crucial member of the Outlaws group, which subsequently led to a crackdown on the overall motorcycle club. The leader of the group was later arrested in Pattaya and identified as Mr. Thomas Ginner, an Australian national.

The authorities confiscated various items from Ginner, including a Harley Davidson motorcycle and other belongings connected to the Outlaw gang.

When a Thai commits a crime against a foreigner on the other hand....

Never fear....it won't be ALL gang leaders....or members for that matter.

Revenue counts...and some of these guys are big donors!

Names and nationalities

Mr Thomas - refers to Thomas Ginner (or Ginsner as Thai media report)

And Thomas Ginner/Ginsner is reported as being Austrian (note this has been changed twice to Australian in previous posts - there is a difference).

Don't matter Mate.

So, other than being members of a bike club, a few minor immigration infractions and one to found to have taken some drugs, what exactly are the big major crimes they have done?

And I am someone who really doesn't like biker gangs, but this is dangerous ground when you can just round up people based on knowing someone. This looks more like a RTP photo op and PR stunt.

In a significant crackdown on international crime, Pattaya law enforcement carried out a successful operation against the notorious ‘Outlaws’ motorbike gang.

The group has been identified as a major player in criminal activities, with links to the chilling murder case of German businessman Hans Peter Mack. The subsequent operation led by Deputy National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Surachate Hakparn resulted in the arrest of key members.

The press conference held on the afternoon of July 21st, 2023, marked a major victory against organised crime in Pattaya, located in Chonburi province. The ‘Outlaws’ gang, known for its diverse international makeup and unlawful activities, came under the scanner following connections established with Olaf Brinkmann. Brinkmann stands accused as the ringleader in the gruesome Mack murder, where Mack’s dismembered body was hidden in a freezer in Chonburi’s Banglamung district.

Thomas Ginner, identified as the leader of the ‘Outlaws’, was the prime focus of this operation. Among the items confiscated from Ginner were a Harley Davidson motorbike and other personal belongings connected with the Outlaw gang.

Also, I am curious. How did you see that the guy knocking on the door had flip flops? Did some guys on the picture stand aside just for you'?

it would be the bees knees if they focused on the real outlaws and gang leaders in this country.

The RTP are taking the opportunity to send a message and make some money from the assets the foreigners will have now donated.
