Pattaya — A group of Thai men clashed with Kuwaiti tourists over a minor traffic accident in South Pattaya.

The violence was reported to police at 00:46 AM on Thursday, August 10th. It happened in front of an unnamed Islamic restaurant located in Soi Yen Sabai, South Pattaya.

According to a CCTV recording and witnesses’ statements, it appeared that a Thai motorcyclist got into a minor traffic accident with a Kuwaiti tourist. This led to a verbal exchange before the peers of the tourist arrived on motorcycles to pick him up to escape the situation.

However, the Thai local, accompanied by multiple friends, allegedly followed and confronted them at a restaurant, leading to a physical assault. Reportedly, the Thai man wanted compensation from the Kuwaiti man for the accident and the tourist refused.

Fortunately, Good Samaritans were able to intervene and prevent both sides from seriously harming one another. The two groups eventually separated, but not before damaging some of the restaurant’s property.

All that is required is willpower, effort and a bit of common sense.   Thai Police have none of these qualities.

I saw a fight once between a Thai and Arab in their bar street. Big Thai guy and not so big Arab.

Arab guy eventually won.

Not sure if it's the same for all of them, but small guy really had some guts.

Time for Chonburi police to intervene.

If road block checkpoints has been tried already, around the hotels Kuwaiti tourist stays at, stronger action is needed.

Strictly no rental of motorcycles to any Kuwaiti tourist in Pattaya. Problem solved.

Rent collectors don't need those skill sets

I'd find the Kuwait guy on his return flight and chuck him in prison for failing to turn up at the police station. Guys days are numbered

Of course he was, it's Kuwait bashing week!

How can so much drama be emanating from a few unruly Kuwaiti youths?

Are the Pattaya Police so useless and incapable of controlling a few kids that think they are not under the strict behavioral codes that apply in  in Kuwait, and are pushing their luck.

Given I had no idea of which country the idiot driving like a maniac that almost killed me was from, but he was an Arab, so IMO ban the lot of them from renting m'bikes.

They drove really badly in Saudi when I was there too.

Certainly shouldn't rent to any tourist without a m'bike licence from home country.

Well it seems the cops are useless, the so called clampdown has failed miserably, they know where they hang out ,but do nothing, must be at least 25 in the photo and vid with no helmets 500b that could net them at least 12k plus no licenses 600b  say 20 12k. Who or why are they not doing anything, ????

As a bicyclist I second that. Better even, ban motorcycles altogether. Saves a lot of lives. Cleaner air as a bonus.

Nothing really good to expect with the sex tourists or sex mongrels in Pattaya at dark hours,  should they be arab, chinese, indians, europeans, brits, yankees or from where ever.

Obviously these chaps are not in the area to visit a Wat in the area  ? Or am I mistaken again ? ????
