A violent incident unfolded in a condominium in Thonglor, as police arrested a 19 year old half-Thai man suspected of killing his French father with a hammer.

The Thonglor murder took place in Phra Khanong district yesterday. Deputy Investigation Officer, Sirichai Kaewprasit of Khlong Tan Police Station, acted on the report of the murder in a townhome on Soi Pridi Banomyong 13 in Phra Khanong, Watthana, Bangkok.

The officer, in collaboration with forensic doctors from the Police Hospital, examined the evidence and conducted an investigation.

The Thonglor murder crime scene was a three-storey townhouse. In the downstairs living room, the body of a 52 year old French national was discovered with severe head injuries, seemingly inflicted by a metal hammer found on the floor.

Just wondering what have brought such a young man to one day, get up and kill his father? i know that the answer to that could present unlimited reasons fro such act, pity though, of the 2 lives that are now wasted.

Alcoholism is described as both a physical and mental addiction.  Depending on how long the father has been this way and his behaviour within the family unit over this time, no doubt some of it most probably will have transposed over to the son in some form of another?  Add to that, that the son possibly took solace in alcohol and/or ya ba etc and it's a powder keg waiting to ignite.

I expect his father didn't deserve this though, so RIP!

Applies to the whole of Thailand, doesn't it? Add in the huge number who carry guns, many of whom would be willing to kill over the slightest thing.

Not in the slightest does it apply to the whole of Thailand.

That is like if a 19 year old kills his foreign father in London for example, it will happen all across the UK.

Or if a 19 year old kills his foreign father in New York for example, it will happen all across the USA,

Though it does happen, it is quite rare.

Not WILL happen, CAN happen.

He was an addict since a teenager. Everyone knew him as the crazy guy. Which I think sent him into deep psychosis. It’s sad no one pushed him harder into getting help.
