Popular Post webfact Posted October 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 3, 2023 In a recent development, the police have uncovered a trove of ammunition and weapons in the home of the suspect behind the Siam Paragon mall shooting. At 21:00 on October 3rd, led by Lieutenant Colonel Pongsanant Klaiklueng and Deputy Lieutenant Colonel Theerachai Dedkhard, a team of investigators descended upon a house on Petchkasem Road, Soi [deleted] in Bang Khae district, Bangkok, reported Siam Rath. Picture: Siam Rath Inside the shooter's bedroom, the search yielded a BB gun resembling an M4 war robot wheel, M16 rifle bullets, shotgun shells, and 9mm caliber bullets. These findings have raised questions and concerns over the ease of accessibility to such deadly arms. The suspect's parents were taken aback by the discovery, professing ignorance of the origin of the weapons and ammunition. Their son typically resided in another home in the Sathorn district. Authorities are meticulously documenting the seized items before coordinating with the Pathumwan Investigation Department for the ensuing legal processes. Picture: Siam Rath This incident intensifies the ongoing conversation about gun control and public safety measures, especially in bustling urban areas. The city's residents, still reeling from the shock of the shooting, now face additional concerns over the prevalence of arms and the looming threat of potential future attacks. The investigation is ongoing, with the authorities vowing to expedite justice and enhance security measures to restore public confidence and safety. -- ASEAN NOW 2023-10-04 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. rbkk Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 The private school/fee paying system here is full of misfits and medicine dependant kids. ADHD is rife with no specialist teacher support. If a student would struggle in the normal school system the option to purchase their way onto "English" and other Programs is well known amongst the teachers who mark their entrance tests. No teacher I know is brave enough to scold a rich brat. The number of deaths perpetrated by Mathayom Suksa 2 students in Thailand this year is shocking. 1

Sydebolle Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 "The suspect's parents were taken aback by the discovery, professing ignorance of the origin of the weapons and ammunition" I am surprised they even noticed, that they have a son in the first place. What kind of parenting is this, honestly? The parents are certainly partly to blame; not for the shooting or the deaths but for the absolute ignorance of what contribution to the next generation is! 1
Tropposurfer Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 It appears (if the news feeds are at all close to accurate??????) that the young lad has schizophrenia and was way off his meds. He apparently was telling the police, after they nabbed him, that he was talking to and could see someone nearby that clearly was not there before and after they nabbed him. If anyone knows anyone who is prescribed psychotropic med's and is not taking them or knows someone not yet diagnosed who is hearing voices, or seeing things then plz call the nearest mental health hospital. 1
