The general consensus is that men age "better" than women. Have you considered exchanging your current female companion for a "newer model"?

As I gather, quite a few Farangs in Thailand take this into consideration. Mainly those, that have not committed major funds into the existing relationship. For obvious reasons.

As I further gather, in order to avoid expensive divorce procedures, they start a "second life", a bit removed from their "home base". This usually works until the s*it hits the fan.

How about you? If concerned spill your guts. How to get a "newer model" without disturbing the "older model" too much?

PS: I would not consider Agatha Cristies "Murder is easy" as a viable solution.

If you think its reality then why have a relationship in the first place? Women are not the same as cars that you can trade in.

 

The older you are the greater the likelihood that a younger female is more interested in your wallet than anything else - nothing to do with guys aging better.

 

If you feel how you do, why not just pay for play? You can have whatever you want that way and you know the score.

There is definitely part of my lower nature that considers this notion from time to time, but I have so many years invested in the relationship, we have so much history together, she's such an outstanding woman on so many levels, she always has my back, and she just seems to get better with age. We get along great, she still has a fantastic sense of humor, she still looks good, and I'm never going to be able to upgrade from where I'm currently at.

 

So, I guess the moral to this story is sometimes we just simply have to practice contentment.

Well said, it must be remembered that the OP is talking about a partner.

 

If you're single and looking for some fun on a night out, of course you go for the youngest, sexiest you can find. But talking about 'trading in' a partner, thinking that they've aged and you haven't is just fantasy.

How shallow  -  and inaccurate.

 

 

I have rejected opportunities to 'have some fun' with very young. I will usually only look in the 28 to 40 age range (almost impossible to define in Thailand).

Amazing. I could have written that. I am blessed. Same story. But many of my Thai Farang friends can not write the same story.

The golden rule is never to hurt anybody feelings. Either hers or hers !!

 

Never get caught, never admit 🤣...especially if she's nice with you..and never...never bring back an STD as a embrassing souvenir. This calls for total protection no matter what.

 

And how would one know for sure,  that the official Missus has not quietly upgraded from her side ? 🤫

Enough hassle day to day. Don't need to add more. Deal with what you got. Hello darling , you look wonderful today. See you for dinner. Sleep. Repeat.

This is EXACTLY why I have remained single in LOS. I tried for a year to establish a long term relationship and realized the cultural differences are too far great to make this possible for me. Since then, I rent rather than own. We all know what the score is, everyone gets what they want and go home happy.

One older lady I know has informed her Farang husband that she is too old for boom-boom. So he hits the bars looking for ladies, which gives wifey a sad.

 

Meanwhile, she goes alone to the village, once a month.

Happy with the one I've got, she's 47 now but I still find her attractive after nearly 15 years together.

Does she love me? Haven't a clue, I'm completely unable to predict a woman's true feelings, but I certainly love her.

I agree with you about the OP and Thailand is not a 'swap shop' - that said there is no is no easier place than Thailand in which to adopt that attitude.

 

 

I simply took odds with the assumption that " you go for the youngest, sexiest you can find" ........ for a short-term holiday that can, of course, be an objective; but, as somebody once told me - there is more to life than sex and even in the P4P scene you want to engage with someone with a bit of character or personality. The bimbo type rarely fulfils that criteria and they invariably love themselves too much.

...And the ones who have aged have picked up some wisdom on the way. So mostly they do whatever they want without feeling the need to tell everyone else or asking for opinions🤔
