You, an Expat living in Thailand having certain Assets in Europe? Some food for thaught:

Let's face it: Without US support, it's "game over" for the Ukraine. After that, the only question remaining is: Will the Russians stop at the Hungarian border or march into the heart of Europe, as the Hungarians will not shoot at any Russians?

European armies have been stripped to the bone, running out of ammo after 2 weeks.

Real Estate can't be moved out of a country. But "liquid assets" can. As an Expat are you considering moving your liquid assets to a trusted Thai Bank as long as this is still possible? Easily returned if this scenario should not unfold.

-Not during the Tsarist age nor during the Soviet age has Europe been so militarily vulnerable. The temptation for Putin to become the new age "Alexander The Great" is high.

Needless to say, that under the rule of Tsar Putin, any sort of pension-money transfers will come to a grinding halt.
All just food for thaught.

Stupid fear mongering of somebody who probably did not even finish Swiss Army formation school... your so glorified Russian army had to call in the Wagner group AND empty all prisons AND recruit tens of thousands of new soldiers (those that did not yet flee to Phuket), and still could not make any meaningful progress in the Ukraine war... and you expect them to take on the whole of Nato?

And "easily return money" once in Thailand? Have you ever tried to even pay an invoice from your Thai bank account to Switzerland? That will teach you about "easy"...

Why not just talking about Swiss watches and Swiss chocolate, instead?

Someone's been on the Chang?

The Russian army have shown themselves to be third rate, and not the first class force that they claimed in their propaganda. The Europeans could ramp up armaments very quickly if required, and Russia would not be a match for them, with or without the US military.

The Swiss Army is famous for The Swiss Army knife.

The Russians will flee when they see that their enemy has access to little pairs of scissors inside their weaponry.

But those scissors are very hard to pry out of the knife casing, so I hope the Swiss have sufficient warning. Otherwise, it's corkscrews at dawn.

I don't think about something that is never going to happen

Russia has shown the world  not be the power they thought they were

Even Putin is not that mad to want to cause a nuclear war 🤔

An interesting thing to ponder.

No, I don't think Putin could successfully invade and take over major parts of Europe, simply because that would present a existential risk to the US who would have no choice but to get involved.

Putin may want to re-form the Soviet Union but he has enough common sense to know that

invading NATO countries is a death wish.  The real Acid Test will be the Baltic Countries.

Once part of the Soviet Union, now part of NATO.  Could become a flashpoint.

But if Trump comes back that will change

Absolute cr4p! Just where did you get this nugget of information?

Please, don't make a drama out of it, the Russian may be stupid but they are not retarded, they don't start a war against NATO.

The Op is a load of codswallop.

Why has Finland joined NATO all of a sudden? Why is Sweden going to join as soon as Turkey can get over their tantrums? Why was Ukraine actually invaded & still fighting for its life?

Because the key to survival is NATO membership, which obliges ALL members including Usofa to fight.

Based on history, no world war ever crossed the Swiss borders, you don't bomb your bank I guess

Napoleon was the only one I recently recall, Caesar too, but that was before Switzerland got into banking

If Putin is allowed by the obnoxious isolationist US republicans to win in Ukraine, I would bet the house that they won't stop there.

I would bet the house that 1000+ Russian oligarchs who bank in the Schweiz will not allow him to upset their bank accounts, many still have non-blocked bank accounts there amounting to billions in assets

You think the entire NATO Bloc is vulnerable to a country that couldn't make significant advances into a weaker neighbouring country... Well thanks for my best larf of the month so far 😅😅

The Russians are never going to allow the US AND EUROPE to install their nuclear missiles on its border any more than the US would allow Russia to put missiles in Mexico OR Cuba, as for Ukraine t is already game over,  the don't have a an army they are mostly dead, the airforce was wiped out long ago, what happened to the awesome patriot missile  system that was going to protect Kiev the Russians dealt with it, the Russians hold land in Ukraine that is held by a Russian speaking population that is also ethnically Russian, as for invade Europe why would Putin be bothered, America is pulling out fast the Israel crisis has given them the chance to cut their losses and get out like Afghanistan,  Iraq, Libya etc etc

Remember the US and its allies are prepared to fight til the last Ukrainian (sadly)

As soon as the MAGA morons get Trump elected again, the US will be out of NATO and Czar Putin will be able to do anything he wants with Europe.

A very horrible but likely outcome if that MAGA Maniac gets back into power again!

I stopped reading right there.

The Russians can not ,or do not want to to occupy Ukraine but they will invade Europe  ,?

and why?

We know why they invaded Ukraine . Why would they invade Hungary (a country who is in support of some of the Russian goals )

and then "march to the heart of Europe" ?

Another question . What are you drinking,?

After the Op swissie disappeared.

How much do you want to bet he is sleeping if off, and tomorrow will wake up with a hell of a hangover

IMO Russia is heading for collapse, either as a failed state or a vassal of China.

Economically, it's a basket case. Interest rates of 14%, the Russian rouble can't buy a box of cornflakes. All the companies that were bringing in capital and skills from the West are gone. Who wants to do business in a country where one's assets can be confiscated with a stroke of a pen?

Russia's best and brightest have fled Russia to escape conscription. The last of its competent engineers and technicians are in their sixties. The Russian education system went into a steep decline in the mid-eighties. Its domestic air fleet is 70% Boeing and Airbus, those aircraft are not getting spare parts. The oil fields are freezing for lack of proper maintenance.

Prighozin has shown how vulnerable Putin is to internal revolt. I don't think Europe has much to worry about.
