Patong –Another alleged Russian prostitute was arrested in Patong after a sting operation, the third woman in about a week.

Phuket Immigration told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they arrested a Russian woman at a hotel in Patong.

 

The arrest came after police operated a sting operation because they had received a tip off that Russian prostitutes were working illegally in Patong.

 

The Russian woman was advertised on an undisclosed website.

She thought that she had found a real mug willing to pay such an absurd sum, but I expect that the police would agree to whatever price she asked for as they had no intention to pay.  There's a lesson there for any other foreign ladies in the same line of business: anything that seems too good to be true, usually is.

When I browse the dating apps I always come across many Thai women who are advertising short time or long time even on their profile pages. Some are advertising to add their Line for sex video and pics as well. Why are the police not addressing everyone. Thais are exempt in this witch hunt it seems. They are not interested in the fact that they are sex workers. They care more that it is a foreigner doing it. Bangkok and Pattaya also have many foreigner sex workers. Why are they not going after them as well either? 

What do you think the Russians are surviving here on? Their money is worthless basically broke and my hunch most have no valid visas. And yes all Russian women here make money doing the dirty. Odd they are suddenly noticed by police.

The real issue at the moment is working illegally. Not prostitution.

Just a 5 minute stroll along Suk will show everyone just how many freelancers are there.....and never a cop in sight!

My hand is more enthusiastic and talented than any prostitute... but it does charge more... so there's that.

I bet some of these russians coukd really take away business from locals.  Many are quite stunning and a change from thai looks.

You could just say you hate russians and leave it at that. Do not need to invent arguments for which you have no proof. FYI, the rouble is not doing too bad (gained 2% over EUR in last 6 months, lost 23% in one year which is not tragic), and many Russians being smarter than you have placed their assets in other currencies including cryptos. Most no valid visas? all Russian women are prostitutes?

Yesterday we were trying to teach that not all Muslims are terrorists, today I think we will try to teach that not all Russians are prostitutes.  Sometimes I really laugh at the level of loserism of people on the forum.
