Do you have a favourite Youtuber?

Magnus Midtbo has some interesting ones. Below is about the most intense thing I ever seen on Youtube

Certainly have no interest in watching any foreigner new in Thailand doing vlogs telling us how it is after living here so long myself.

I don’t have a favourite as such but currently I’m enjoying watching Tread the Globe.

A down to earth Brit couple who sold up and went to travel round the world in their van “ Trudy “.

80,000 km to date and this month they are in Thailand, a particular favourite as they honeymooned here 25 years ago, and stopping at various places on their way back home.

Obviously they are discovering things here that we have known for a long time but interesting their outlook and reactions.

I watch them too, like you said nice couple but I think they don't prepare good enough. Some stuff what happened to them(Thai documents car, entry to China) could be easily avoided with google,on the other hand since they travel 4 years already without major issues, maybe they do everything right.I liked their Malaysia trip from their videos it looks like Malaysians are friendly people, and Malaysia looks much cleaner than Thailand.

Too much BS on spew tube, almost nothing is  real these  days, its  all for  views. There was one Living in a  ghost town cerro gordo but the  guy just made up a story about finding an original  Levis jacket down the mine yet the same jacket was shown in the on site  museum  3-4  years before he bought the place with the same stains and marks  on it but his  followers fought tooth an nail to say it wasnt. After that it  all felt rather  false and then " incredibly"  the main old  building there burnt down..........how dramatic

I like the "real"  people  like Watch Wes  Work https://www.youtube.com/@WatchWesWork

Red  Poppy Ranch used to be ok except the guy never  finishes anything and has become a little boring lately.

I Like Astrum too spacey type  stuff. https://www.youtube.com/@astrumspace/videos

@xiaomanyc

Only guy I watch although he posts on Facebook as well as YouTube.

Learns languages in a couple of weeks and then goes to the country to talk with locals . Learns some of the least used dialects for certain areas. Very funny watching people's reactions when a white guy bursts out their language.

I also don't follow those idiots and have difficulties understanding why people do that.

But there are some interesting people out there and it's interesting to watch them. And lots of things to learn.

I.e. I watched many videos from these guys, and I learned a lot from them.

I don't understand actually. You call them idiots when following youtubers. But one the other hand you do the same. I suppose you wouldn't call yourself an idiot, isn't it?

Yeah he's fearless trying out all his new languages. That's one of the hardest things for language learners -- to be brave enough to not worry about sounding dumb. But for most of his videos what he actually learns is quite superficial so a lot of it is show biz. But on the other hand watch what he went through at the elite U.S. Naval language school in Monterey California and you will see for many things he really walks the walk not just talks the talk.

My most UNFAVORITE!

The ole <deleted> Brit that does vids on the Pattaya girly bars showing the girls and some patrons faces, but NEVER shows his own face online.

There should be a requirement by You Tube to show ones face and represent their content to the world, otherwise not be allowed to post.

Cheers!

Some famous YouTubers are idiots. They do pranks and things like that and they feel really important.

And then there are other guys, like some of the people I mentioned earlier, who have intersecting hobbies or work and they clearly love what they are doing. And they would do whatever they do with or without camera. Additionally, now they show on YouTube what they do and many people like to watch their skillful work. That is very different compared to the YouTube idiots.

I watch some medical, investing, and chess channels.

I love logic type puzzles so Cracking The Cryptic, Bremster & Sudoku Sleuth give me a couple of hours worth of challenges each day.... Helps keep the old Grey Matter ticking over.

Also follow a couple of exercise channels notably https://www.youtube.com/@HT-Physio which helps keep the rest of me ticking over.

Most of what I follow are tech, business, economics, AI, Calisthenics and fitness.

Here are some of the hundreds of channels I follow :-

Really good coverage of AI

https://www.youtube.com/@TwoMinutePapers

No nonsense cooking lessons

https://www.youtube.com/@andy_cooks.

Animation videos explaining things with optimistic nihilism since 12,013. We’re a team of illustrators, animators, number crunchers and one dog who aim to spark curiosity about science and the world we live in. To us nothing is boring if you tell a good story.

https://www.youtube.com/@kurzgesagt

Video essays on business, economics, and history. Sometimes about Asia, but not always.

https://www.youtube.com/@AsiGppd nometry

Very good Economics channel

https://www.youtube.com/@EconomicsExplained

Great videos from real Russians

https://www.youtube.com/@1420channel

Good channel about staying flexible

https://www.youtube.com/@MovementbyDavid

and the last one for this list - quite possibly the smartest women I know, the first is a Chip Designer called Anastasi.  She's also stunningly sexy.   https://www.youtube.com/@AnastasiInTech

and the second is another gorgeous female coder called Ania who lives in Dubai and just happens to be in a relationship with one of my friends - https://www.youtube.com/@AniaKubow
