Hey guys, from your answers to my question on what to wear during a massage, I finally went to one yesterday. It was a really good experience, and I might even get addicted to Thai massage in the future!

You too! The girl stretched & tore my shoulder muscle  . It took 9 months for it to heal.

Since then I only have  leg or body massages !

If it starts to get uncomfortable ,

tip use the thai phrase

Some years ago in Udon Thanni, a broken rib,

I went together with my gf to what we expected to be a proper massage.

We were next to each other in a big room together with other visitors. It was relative dark, what we thought was a relaxing atmosphere.

After maybe 20 minutes my gf told me: Let's get out of here.

Later she told me the massage person tried some improper touching.

And for the record: My gf went to massage school in Wat Po and she knows what to expect with a proper massage.

Try it with different massagists and different shops and different styles. There are huge differences.

My best experience is with blind massagist who learned in Wat Po.

Foot massage and foot reflex zone massage is also a good experience - if done right.

I had a Masseuse I used for awhile....She had her own shop but also hopped over to another shop if they needed an extra person.....I went to her shop = nobody there but a phone number was posted, so I called....

She said she'd be right there & hung up with the words "I love you too".....I doubt that she knew more than 20 words of English - but the use of the phrase startled me.... She showed up, I laid down on the massage table face down & she started an oil massage from my feet up....She worked her way up my legs until I got a strangely uncomfortable wet sensation 

At the end of the session she kept hugging me and said "I live for you" and as I was walking out I had extricate myself as she was clinginly hugging me from behind until I got to the door & my shoes....

I never saw a reason to go back....

 

I just get an oil massage the regular massage is too hard. Lol XD

When a tourist i used to have a 2 hour thai massage every day, over the years i switched to 2 hour foot massages

What happens in Soi 22 stays in Soi 22..., so do the trimmings.

Around 20 years ago at one of those floral exhibitions in Chiang Mai they had a massage area with about 50 tables.  The wife and I were getting foot massages on tables next to each other.  The girl doing my foot massage started massaging around my thigh area.  She never touched my privates but whatever she was doing was sending sensations to my privates.  I was about at the point where I was either going to shout out, "Yes I'll marry you!" or grab her hands and tell her stop.  She relented right about at that point.

I wanted authentic Thai massage, but all the local shops looked sketchy. I finally found a shop that looked legit. Sign on the door saying "NO sexual services". Thai people inside getting foot / neck / etc. massages. I enter and say I want authentic Thai massage, lady says no problem, take off your clothes and lie down here. About ten minutes in she says, "and what kind of sex do you want with your authentic Thai massage?". After some reiteration, I finally get Thai massage without sex. And, I've had better Thai massage. I learned that I need to be more careful about picking massage establishments. And I've noticed the legitimate ones have higher posted prices.

I get an electric massage for a torn muscle in my lower back every two weeks at a local, private hospital. The strangest thing that's every happened to me is I fell asleep and was awoken 45 minutes later to advise me the massage was over. 

I got massage in the basement at my hotel In china, and without knowing what I paid for, I bought "all included massage", and had no idea at all what that ment.

 

I was first taken to a locker room by a sexy lady, then showered, got a dressing gown and slippers, and taken to the sauna and jacuzzi rooms. I said thank you but no thank you, because sitting there with naked Chineese was not what I desired for the moment with a sore body after heavy training. I got a hour nice professional massage, before she started to do my more intimate pressure points, undressed and started her body to body massage, while she tried to communicate with me. I didnt understand a single word, and she gave up. Next I knew, she turned around, placed her "girl" one inch from my nose, and I guess she did a oily boob job on me, and maybe her mouth, I do not know, maybe both. Once and awhile, she lovered her hips, so she touched my nose with her "girl", and rised her hips so I could see better. 

 

That was something I never had experienced before or after. 

I can remember one tall Thai woman who was so keen to market her wares, she stripped down to the buff about 5 minutes before ending the massage.

 

Unfortunately, the medication I was on at the time was making me impotent, so I had to politely decline, and explain why.

 

A pity, because she had a really nice body.

Once I had a massage by a woman who during the massage allowed her apx. 8-10 y.o. daughter in to watch.

Lying there in just my underwear had never felt so uncomfortable.
