A grandmother is seeking compensation after a six year old Thai boy in Phuket was stripped naked and physically assaulted by two 12 year old girls. The girls claimed they were only playing a game of ghost exorcism.

 

The 41-second video when the six year old boy was abused was shared on Thai social media on Saturday, September 28. In the video, the young boy was stripped naked, tied up, and brutally assaulted. Two girls kicked him and beat him with shoes on his body, private part, and head.

 

It was later reported that the incident took place at a school in the Rawai sub-district, Mueang district of Phuket. A local who lived near the young victim decided to visit his home after seeing the video.

 

The boy’s 60 year old grandmother acknowledged the issue and the boy’s father reported it to the Chalong Police Station. The girls’ guardians were ordered to pay 5,000 in compensation to the boy but they have yet to do so.

The grandmother also revealed that this boy lived with her after his parents broke up. She had no job and cleaned a temple in the community in exchange for food.

 

A neighbour then encouraged the grandmother to share the story with the media to seek justice for the boy.

 

Chalong Police Station officers insisted that they had not ignored the case. They revealed to Channel 3 that the two girls were summoned for questioning previously. They claimed that they played ghost exorcism with the young boy.

 

The boy played the role of a ghost and the two girls performed the ritual as they had seen it in a film. The girls said they recorded the video to watch later but the video was later leaked and shared on social media.

 

Police added that they also reported the story to the Phuket Provincial Social Development and Human Society to take care the young boy both physically and mentally.

This is not about 'Justice' for the boy, as usual here it's about how much money they can make, out of the boy's ordeal.

Seriously WTF. These girls should be locked up in juvie or an equivalent. Certainly not walk free with a trivial fine. What message does this send? be as violent as you want - all you have to do is apologize later.

My secret dream when I was a six year old.  Had to come to Thailand to play out that fantasy with a couple of 20 year old Thai gals.

Not really an equal comparison.

The foreigner knew better but did the act through anger, hate and violence.

The two underage girls should have known better, but at that age???

Probably thought that it was the norm after watching what adult Thais do to each other on news reports.

 

However, I do agree with you that neither examples are acceptable.

Except he was found innocent and let go for a lack of evidence.  (Videos must not be reliable evidence.)

When my Thai son went with his fiancee to meet her parents upcountry it was quickly revealed to all that his father (me) was a farang. 

 

Girls mother went into spasms claiming that if her daughter married my son then the whole family would die a horrible / painful death. The mother is the 'well respected' village chief. if she says it's Saturday on a Wednesday then it's Saturday.

 

Son insisted his fiancee's mother and father and her 4 siblings (F, 2M, all between 25 - 35 years old) come to Bkk for 2 or 3 days at sons' expense and meet me. We owned a very big condo with several bedrooms, not far from Pantip Plaza. 

 

Eventually they did come but with 2 security guards from their village who stayed with them 24/7 including inside the condo.

 

They were shocked when I spoke to them in Thai. Son took one of the security guards to a nearby mini mart and bought beer and Thai whiskey and mixers (out of our fridge not workable, afraid they would be poisoned.), I sat on the floor with them attending to their drinks, ensuring they could see the beer / whiskey being poured from a newly opened bottle.  Second day they were more relaxed and for dinner we all went to a local essan restaurant, Thai staff at the restaurant greeted me like a close friend, lots of silly conversation etc.

 

End of Third day the girls mother and father announced that I was not dangerous but I could not come to their village, and they agreed to the marriage. Marriage went ahead 6 months later.

 

Since then son's fiancee's parents have visited us in Bkk many times, all very relaxed and friendly.
