Your problem is not rate, it's availability of that sort of volume. I can pretty much guarantee the banks wont have that to hand but they will be able to collect it for you over time, ditto the money changers.

Downstream of course there's also a Customs issues but I expect you know that.

Customs won't be an issue. I'm just exchanging for investment purposes. My plan is to keep hold of it until i get 7% profit on my investment. If i have to keep hold of it for a while that's no problem. Thanks.

They had it on hand. Like 15 or 20k USD, can’t remember. Nobody batted an eye.

Nearly the same rate as the big superich.

Don't ALL Superrich branches have the same rate?

7% is that tax free and what capital gains would be looking at, as a percentage return is good, but you also want capital appreciation, 7% profit in today's terms is not 7% when you take inflation, e.g. cost of items that have increased over time vs the $, baht etc.

Americas latest inflation rate is 2.5%, if you believe those figures, would mean you would be receiving 4.5% before tax, if any.

Thailand's latest inflation rate is between 1% - 3%, if you believe those figures, would mean you would be receiving between 4% - 6% before tax if any.

Personally, I don't believe the above inflation figures for my own reasons.

The above said you need to look at bigger returns, like 10% +

I have been averaging 12% - 20% tax free, but am not going to tell you where you can get that, as I am not a financial investor, and sure the heck beats getting what your suggesting.

Good luck

No ,they don't. Headquarters have the best rates.

Go to their website, you are able to compare the rates of different branches.

The default rates are those of the main branch.

You used to be able to compare on their app, but I haven't used it for a long while.

I assume you want to wait till $ recovers to 35? Unless you get true rate p to p you will lose 1% both buy and sell perhaps gold bars may be way to go?

No they don’t, the 2 different superrich HQ have the beat rates, if it’s only a couple of hundred or thousand or 2 dollars required its not worth the trip but when you are at tens of thousands the trip will save enough to make it a reasonable trip.

Might be a bit of a wait. Super Rich rate currently at around 32.5.

Well 32.5 to 35 is the 7% he is looking for as far $ is concerned super rich have razor thin margins. You are probably right about long wait for it to return to 35 but it was only 2months exactly it was 35.5 so big swings is possible

Yes it is, but you have to factor in the cost of travel to obtain the money, hotel costs and subsistence plus the risk of carrying and storing that much cash comes with a price. My guess is, all told, he needs closer to 37 or 38.

No hotel costs or travel costs.
