One big difference, of course, is the percentage who were apprehended and then released into the country after pinkie swearing they'd show up for their asylum case in a few years.

 

The other difference is the number who weren't even apprehended.  They just snuck in between border checkpoints, and nobody bothered to stop them, only to parole them into the country.

If she is the president of Mexico she is part of the cartels. The Mexican cartels and government are one and the same.

Forty years ago I had a young Mexican worker from Michoacan who explained to me about corruption in Mexico from the Catholic Church to all levels of government.  The situation has gotten much worse with cartels running the country.  His home province is now controlled by the Sinaloa Cartel.  Now they are selling something more deadly than snake oil.

Kind of a misogynistic  headline. It is not some random “Mexican woman” but in fact the duly elected President of Mexico.

I would remind all that the policies followed are in accord with US Immigration Law. There was an opportunity to begin addressing the issue we all recognize ... Trump called on Republicans in Congress to kill the bi-partisan agreed on immigration proposed law bill so he could harp on "open borders" as a campaign issue. Seems to have succeeded in large measure.

Nothing to say because someone stood up to the bully. Just need Canada to do the same. Have Canada freeze all the oil and electric imports into the US and see what happens. Let Trump raise all these tariffs and watch how quick the US goes bankrupt just like all his businesses do.

I have read John Bolton stating that Trump hasn't got a clue what he is doing, (my own words interpretation), Trump needs to be pointed in the right direction by those in the know, to straighten stuff out............

Here we are:

You don't really care about Mexico, the US, or reality, you are still mired in Trump 

You show your bias against Mexico, Mexicans, and probably women by using "Mexican Woman..." header instead of something more appropriate like "President of Mexico" or "President Sheinbaum of Mexico..." but you got Trump's name right.

Just accept the reality is that everybody is posturing for their constituency by throwing red meat to their supporters.  Whatever is said won't reflect the upcoming changes at the border AND trade between countries.

What will eventually happen is that both sides will come to an understanding like what happened 4 years ago when Mexico used its military to clamp-down on illegal migrants passing through their country.  This will happen because Mexico has much more to lose than the US if Trump closes the border like he did before, when Mexico immediately agreed to enforcing their borders, instituting Remain in Mexico, and replacing NAFTA with USMCA.

John Bolton is a neocon warhawk  that was pushing trump into war with Iran and Syria. Trump sacked him.
