Picture captured from facebook video.

Phuket found itself at the centre of controversy this week after a video of foreign tourists behaving inappropriately on a tuk-tuk was widely shared online.

The incident, which occurred on 3 January, was brought to public attention by Facebook user “Jao Nuek Get-Ho Laeo Tae Mum Mong,” who posted a 37-second clip of the event alongside the caption: “No matter how much I told them to stop, they wouldn’t listen. Do as you please, I guess.”

According to the post, the tourists had hired the tuk-tuk to take them to their accommodation. However, shortly after boarding, they engaged in intimate behaviour on the backseat, ignoring the driver’s repeated warnings to stop.

The video quickly gained traction, attracting a flood of comments from netizens. Some reacted with humour, while others expressed frustration. Comments included: “Driver, keep your eyes on the road! LOL,” “Thanks for the live sports entertainment,” “What a show! Unbelievable,” and “They should charge extra for this, apparently, the moving vehicle adds to the experience!”

This is not the first time such incidents have been reported in Phuket, particularly in high-traffic tourist areas like Patong Beach in Kathu District. Local residents and Thai tourists alike have noted a recurring pattern of inappropriate behaviour from some foreign visitors in the region.

The incident has once again sparked debate about the behaviour of tourists in Phuket and the impact it has on the area’s reputation. Locals have called for greater awareness and respect from visitors to preserve the island’s cultural values and maintain harmony between residents and tourists.

maybe Jao Nuek .... ...  ...  was p_ssed off because he wasn't getting any bang bang.

was he another passenger in the Tuk Tuk  ... ?

Jao Nuek should have live streamed it. He might have made a few quid, and the couple might have learned a lesson on why not to behave like that in public.

Then again... everyone seems to want to be famous nowadays. They might have loved the infamy.

Do not denigrate Moo Dengs species

This may be titillating for some, but it is not new and it is not news.

People should let their phones spend more time in their pockets.

Nothing to see here, move on.

Would hate to tarnish the reputation of the sex tourism capital of the world.

This Week(alone)?

Sounds pretty much like a joke.

Should rather say All The Time.

Many of the negative  headlines involving foreigners are from Phuket (and Pattaya) these days.

2 of the Foreign Riffraff Capitals of the kingdom.

Sorry for the ordinary locals who want to live in peace.

behaving inappropriately on a tuk-tuk

Back in mid 1976, similar depiction was in Robert De Niro's Taxi Driver(in his monologue scene).

Seems like the driver asked them to stop, they thought about it for a few seconds then thought 'no Phuket'. LOL

Phuket found itself at the centre of controversy this week ??????? It always finds its self in controversy, usually EVERY DAY!😄

No panic, what with nowadays' nightlife price inflation, sex rides are becoming ruinously expensive to organize even behind closed doors, let alone on tuk-tuks. Extortionate prices will succeed where the morality police has failed.

Driver:            "Where to Boss?"

Passenger:     " The nearest street paved with cobblestones"

"This is not the first time such incidents have been reported in Phuket, particularly in high-traffic tourist areas like Patong Beach in Kathu District."

Sounds like the new "mooning" or "streaking", but for multiple participants!

Nah - that's PATTAYA!!!

Perhaps the driver's vehicle is just so romantic that they just couldn't help themselves.
