Can anyone tell me the best way to get Proof of Life certificate signed.

Got my Doctor to stamp and sign mine. 200 baht

I notice on the accompanying paper work that a qualified Pharmacist can witness the documentation ..So I asked my local pharmacist who I've been using for many years... and she was more than will to do the dirty deed 🙂 ... and she refused to accept any money but I left 100b on the counter as I left the her shop :-).

People who can witness the Life Certificate are:
• a member of the police force
• a teacher or lecturer
• an officer of a bank authorised to sign documents on its behalf
• a doctor, surgeon, dentist, nurse, pharmacist or optician registered under the
law of the country where the declaration is made
• a care or residential home manager (if customer is resident)
• a barrister, solicitor or advocate authorised to practice in the country where
the declaration is made
• paralegal (certified paralegal, qualified paralegal, or associate member of the
Institute of Paralegals)
• a Notary Public or any other person allowed to administer oaths in the country
where the declaration is made (commissioner for oaths)
• a civil servant or government employee
• a member of the Foreign Service of the United Kingdom or HM Overseas Civil
Service or a British Diplomatic or Consular Officer
• a councillor, for example local or county
• a local government officer
• a Member of Parliament
• a magistrate or Justice of the Peace
• a minister of a recognised religion

Have for the last ten years

I used my Bangkok Bank manageress to sign off mine the other week. But it is done with an accompanying letter signed and stamped as BB are not allowed to actually sign outside documents, if that makes any sense.

I am also told that your local police station will sign it for 20THB.

My Car Insurance man Signed mine ( NO Official Stamp ) I Returned it to Wolverhampton on January 30th by Ordinary Air Mail,Just Received an SMS From Them saying they Received it & Have processed it on 23rd February

Plus any retired official including Financial advisors etc, no stamp is required.

First time I used a lawyer who charged 500 baht, but last time I went to the local police station and got them to sign and stamp it for free.

Do it yourself, they just want to get it returned, how can they check who signed it?

Pattaya police station is 300 baht according to a friend who lives there.

It states quite clearly at the top of page 2 of 6 '...The official at the agency/institution you use will then sign and stamp the Life Certificate'.

My Cambodian Bank signed and stamped mine for free, after legal clearance from HQ in Phnom Penh.

This is a Proof of Life document needed for UK pension payments.

In Spain we can do it online using a mobile app. I can't think of a better and more convenient way.

Doesn't Proof of Life usually require a photo of you holding todays Bangkok Post?

Maybe not for yours but for mine They Need a stamp.

I get one from the Netherlands .

Has to be  Checked with ID   Dated  Signed and Stamped by the  SSO   Of whom the Dutch have an Agreement with in Thailand and Sent Back tot he Netherlands  .

If not done right they send the document  Back to do what Has to be done .

At one time the SSO Boss Lady forgot to print Her name .

The document got send back to and had to do it Again .

NO stamp is required for UK proof of life form,  The word is "IF "  read the form,

Since DWP outsourced mailing to a Belgian company I have never received a POL letter so I email  relevant docs ( last time my postal vote confirmation) once a year and get an email back from DWP 

Retired UK Civil Servants can sign these forms as can some other retired expats, like bank managers, no stamping is necessary.

 

Most expats know people who fit into these categories and who would be only too happy to assist.

I have used a dentist's receptionist and a vet. Both did it for free.
