Trump’s Immigration Crackdown Leads to 655% Rise in Terrorist Arrests, Including India’s Most Wanted

In a dramatic shift from previous immigration policy, the Trump administration has overseen a significant surge in the arrest of suspected terrorists within the United States. Since President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has taken into custody 219 individuals identified as known or suspected terrorists. This marks a staggering 655% increase compared to the same period under former President Joe Biden’s administration, which saw just 29 similar arrests, according to newly obtained data from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

ICE agents nab suspected terrorist Harpreet Singh last week in Sacramento, California.

Among those apprehended is Harpreet Singh, an Indian national listed as one of India’s “most wanted” fugitives. Singh, who is linked to a notorious Pakistan-based terrorist organization, Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), allegedly played a leading role in a grenade attack on a police station and the residence of a retired Punjab police officer. The attacks, according to DHS, were meant “to kill and instill fear among law enforcement officers.”

Singh illegally entered the United States on January 27, 2022, by crossing the border from Mexico into Arizona. Despite being detained by Border Patrol agents, he was subsequently released into the country with a scheduled future court date. “The Biden administration not only let a wanted terrorist into our country, but after he was arrested by Border Patrol agents, they released him into the interior of our country,” said DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “While shocking, it’s not surprising given the Biden administration routinely released unvetted terrorists and criminals into American communities,” she added.

The White House shares a mugshot of an unnamed Jordanian national with suspected ties to ISIS.

According to DHS, Singh has also been involved in violent extortion schemes and other threatening activities in India. Authorities there believe he has close ties to Harwinder Singh Rinda, a high-ranking figure within Babbar Khalsa International — a group the U.S. officially designated as a foreign terrorist organization in 2002. BKI, which originated in the late 1970s, has a long history of orchestrating assassinations, armed attacks, and bombings rooted in religious extremism.

It remains unclear whether U.S. border officials were aware of Singh’s connections to terrorism when they released him in 2022. However, federal agents were eventually able to track him down in Sacramento, California, last week. “He had been evading capture by using untraceable burner phones and encrypted applications,” the FBI revealed in a statement regarding his arrest.

With this latest arrest and the sharp increase in terrorism-related detentions, the Trump administration is vowing to stay aggressive in rooting out dangerous individuals within the U.S. “Under President Trump and Secretary Noem’s leadership, ICE is unleashed to remove these violent criminals from America’s streets and put an end to catch and release,” said McLaughlin. She emphasized that the administration remains committed to targeting terrorists “who have operated with impunity on American soil.”

I hope the Dems chew on this OP a lot. Their fight with deporting the illegals is completely unfounded. Trumps policy for getting the illegals out is working. It has also impacted the amount of illegals trying to enter still.

How can Americans feel safe knowing the guy next door could be a terrorist or killer or foreign gang member?

The courts need to stop taking cases if proof is shown the person has entered the country illegally.

Trump is blowing the trumpet on the arrest of "SUSPECTED TERRORIST".Is Garcia and the others grabbed of the street in this count.Trump does not want due process because this may upset his ego with what a great job his ICE have done. Yes credit is due where ICE have picked up genuine terrorists but these are the same officers that served under the last administration. I am sure the bosses of ICE did not instruct them to not arrest terrorists!

Tea and scones thinking up more bad things to say. Trump is kicking butt.

It's amazing how your terrorist arrests can increase if you just expand your definition of the word "terrorist".

due process means 5 years later a verdict is reached.

Justice needs to be faster, and they need to do whatever it takes to get that verdict time down to 7-14 days.

Western civilisation cant afford the public costs of a 5 year process any longer.

I'm pretty sure they did just that.  "Don't arrest the future Blue voters" means "Don't arrest the terrorists among them".

And the saddest thing is that the US Gub'ment (ie taxpayers) are funding both sides of the due process.  Whether that's paying for the public defenders directly or sending money to NGOs who use it to stretch out the cases for 5 years.

Watch the videos of illegals crossing over the border and think to yourself, "Each one is another $10-100K that we'll have to spend on due process"...

Thank goodness that's stopped.  Now, we'll just have to spend $$ hundreds of billions (and years) to clean up the mess.

Trump Administration’s Immigration Crackdown Hits New Legal Roadblocks
Three federal judges sharply question the legality of Trump’s tactics

https://www.wsj.com/us-news/law/trump-administrations-immigration-crackdown-hits-new-legal-roadblocks-5110418e   text from MSN:

A trio of federal judges excoriated the Trump administration Tuesday over its immigration crackdown and threw up new legal roadblocks to the White House’s no-holds-barred approach.

A Maryland judge overseeing the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a man mistakenly deported to El Salvador, accused the administration of bad faith, falsehoods and willfully misreading a Supreme Court ruling in trying to avoid providing additional information under oath about its actions. Judges in Colorado and New York sharply questioned the legality of the administration’s use of wartime measures to speed deportations of alleged gang members and criticized the lack of legal protections for individuals who have been detained and are slated for removal.

At issue in the New York and Colorado cases is the administration’s use of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport alleged members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, bypassing normal immigration procedures. Trump in mid-March signed a proclamation declaring the gang equivalent to a hostile foreign government in wartime and ordering government agencies to immediately remove its alleged members. Hours after the proclamation was made public, immigration officials launched planes moving more than 200 migrants, most of them Venezuelans, to a notorious prison in El Salvador.

Nobody is condemning Trump for the arrest and deportation of such persons. The criticism begins when they send letters to US born citizen who was in fact also a magistrate or judge telling them they are illegal citizens and get out of the country or else. Five plus agents going to a citizens home in civilian clothing displaying no identification and when her lawyer arrives and questions their actions they tell him they are there to do a welfare check.

This is the concern and these are not isolated cases.

Not read that one about a US born judge or magistrate?

There is one about a US born immigration lawyer who received one in error, it should have been for her client.

Given that the Trump administration is now classifying Venezuelan drug dealers as terrorists, this increase should come as no suprise. That it's a misuse of the word should come as no surprise, either.

for the umpteenth time, read the Constitution... I assume you have heard of that document. No dem wants terrorists in the US, to think otherwise is patently stupid. For anyone accused/taken in by gov what is Constitutionally required is due process, aka "your day in court". We are fighting illegality done by the government, not the criminals.

"No person shall be .... be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law" (5th Amendment). What parts of that are you unwilling to allow into your consciousness?

"How can Americans feel safe knowing the guy next door could be a terrorist or killer or foreign gang member?" Stupid once more: YOU could be a foreign gang member. YOU could be a terrorist. If I am an officer in ICE and decide you are one or the other, without any court hearing, without any charges, you'd be happy with me bundling your ass off to some Salvadoran prison with zero rights to attorney, hearing, contact with family, etc... a black hole.

We have courts and procedures to decide these things. You would applaud Gestapo for rounding up, imprisoning Jews without trial or charges. It is the same thing, the same lack of rule of law.

Cut the crap about dems wanting terrorists etc. It is BS and you know it. If you don't, seek deprogramming

You dont consider rich, multinational drug dealers that pump dope into the arms of kids, terrorists?

Guess that goes with the belief that a man can become a woman by slicing off his balls.

Your knowledge of the legal issues involved is simplistic.

Maybe to you terrorist means "foreign really bad person." But not to me. And I can't find that definition in any directory.

And what exactly does transgenderism have to do with this?

I'd classify you as a terrorist.

Obviously, I couldn't classify you as a traitor because you're British.

  • Popular Post

The liberals will hate this, they love illegals, criminals, drug dealers and terrorists for some reason. How are those traitor sanctuary democrat cities doing? Even Obama deported millions, but that was no problem, then they were quiet when that dozy old sod Biden let them, and more all back in again. Trump is doing what he was elected to do.

Thank you for your double demonstration of cluelessness.

So if the picture in the op is to be believed,  wh.gov think that a Sikh organisation is linked to one of the most militant Muslim organisations?

Mind-boggling.

53 minutes ago, Emdog said:

You can read that 1000 times and still not get it unless you read some of those law books you always see on those shelves that spend thousands of pages discussing cases that decided what constitutes "due process" and who qualifies as a "person" and whether being deported constitutes being "deprived" of anything that they are entitled to. There are hundreds of cases and thousands of pages to define what that single sentence really means.

Not to mention whether a piddly district judge can force the president to do anything.  Or issue universal injunctions without certifying a class because that constitutes a class action.  Or they can demand action without posting a $ billion dollar bond in case their injunction is over ruled on appeal.

It's not about law or government, it's about headlines and good television.

NY Post is the print edition of the stuff Fox broadcasts.

The thing with the Sikh has got to be part of a quid pro quo with Modi.  DT made a public statement about violence in Kashmir a few days ago, not like him at all, sounds like he has taken to buttering Modi's buns.  We'll probably never know the payoff.  The Indians still begrudge the Sikhs for killing Indira Gandhi.  I wonder if this stuff about them taking refuge in Pakistan is legit.

And of course those numbers are ridiculous.

Mind-boggling.

That organization is Babbar Khalsa, they've been deemed a terrorist organization in the US since 2003!

The organisation is officially banned and designated as an international terrorist organisation by the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Japan, Malaysia, and India.
