A Chinese man has been arrested at a Bangkok airport after allegedly murdering and attempting to dismember a transgender in a hotel in Central Pattaya, authorities confirmed on the afternoon of 26 April.

At approximately 11:00 on 26 April, Pol. Col. Anek Sarathongyu, Superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, alongside Pol. Lt. Col. Arut Saphanont, Deputy Superintendent of Investigations, and other officers, responded to reports of a deceased person at a hotel located in Pattaya, Chonburi Province.

Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered the body of a transgender, concealed inside a bathroom on the second floor of the building. Officers immediately sealed off the area and called in forensic experts and medical examiners to conduct a thorough investigation.

Initial examinations of the room revealed a large clothing bag, scissors, and other equipment believed to have been intended for use in concealing or dismembering the body. No unauthorised persons were allowed to enter the scene during the investigation.

Preliminary enquiries established that the room had been rented one week prior by a Chinese man, later identified as Mr Tongyung Fu, aged 42. According to other guests, a loud and prolonged altercation was heard emanating from the room at around 01:00 and lasted about an hour. Witnesses reported hearing desperate cries for help during the disturbance, but no one intervened.

In the morning, concerned by the lack of response from the room, the hotel owner attempted to make contact by knocking on the door. Receiving no reply, they entered the room and made the grim discovery.

Further investigations and CCTV footage showed the suspect leaving the hotel with a suitcase at 06:00. This led Pattaya Police to swiftly coordinate with Immigration authorities. Mr Tongyung Fu was intercepted at the airport just as he was preparing to board an international flight out of Thailand. He was taken into custody without incident and is being transported back to Pattaya to face charges.

Authorities are awaiting the results of a full forensic examination to determine the exact cause of death. Mr Tongyung Fu is expected to be formally charged with murder and related offences in connection with the incident.

The investigation is ongoing as police piece together the circumstances surrounding the horrific crime.

Must have been a pre-op.

Not condoning the deadly reaction at all, but again, I think they need to move all the transgenders and ladyboys to an area on the very edge of Pattaya, clearly marked in various languages, and not mixed in with female sex workers on walking street or adjacent sois. That way, whomever wants that kind of kink, knows where to go.

As is, at the very least, it can create confusion for some naive tourist like this Chinese guy, at worst it can lead to violence when they go back the hotel and the punter learns the 'lady' has a bigger st1ffy than him. Then there's all the fights with the transvestites and drunk punters on walking street (and Soi Bangla in Phuket).

UPDATE

Thai media reports are stating that the victim was a post op transgender and when found, had a deep slash wound in the middle of the chest that revealed the internal organs.

The heart had been removed and placed next to the body and police believe one lung was missing from the scene.

I would hedge that this guy didn't cut the heart and lung out of any of his his first victims.

His entire history of movement needs examining.

In the Thai language news it is being reported that the lung was not intact, suggestions he may have ate some of it.

No I'm not blaming the victim, who was plying their trade like everypone else and in the same place as everyone else. My thinking was simply to make it safer for them and end some of the needless fighting and BS that goes on in relation to it on walking street, etc.

Look, years ago there was 'boyz town' on the soi near the entrance to walking street. That was pretty "straight"forward. If you went into those bars, you'd know what to expect. I don't think many tourists these days can tell the difference between a well turned out ladyboy/postop (like the victim) or a woman (who are now everywhere mixed in with the female sex workers). It wasn't like that 20 years ago. So my point is segregate so everyone understands where to go and what they can expect to find, and make it safer. Hope that's clearer.

Yeah sure you're all about the safety of sex workers.

Is it me or it seems more Chinese, Russian and Indians seem to be in top news?

Yeah, but not sure it's relevant here.

Since he seems to have removed the heart of the victim, we're dealing with a very sick individual, maybe a mass murderer with previous offences. He probably would have killed female sex worker, unless he was specifically targeting a transgender for whatever reason.

I have not seen any indications that this murder was done because the victim was transgender.

Maybe the murderer did not even know.

Just a sick twisted piece of low life.

Chinese National Arrested at Suvarnabhumi for Brutal Murder of Transgender

Crime scene image from the hotel room.

Immigration officers at Suvarnabhumi Airport detained Mr. Fu Tongyuan, a 42-year-old Chinese national, after he attempted to flee the country on China Eastern Airlines flight MU742 to Kunming, China.

Mr. Fu was unable to pass through the automated passport control system, prompting further investigation and subsequent arrest. Authorities found that he was on a watchlist for his alleged involvement in the brutal murder of “Nong Note” (Worranan Phannakha), a transgender, in Pattaya. The victim’s body had been mutilated, with the heart, lungs, and silicone breast implants removed.

Officers observed fresh wounds on Mr. Fu’s body and face, believed to be sustained during a struggle with the victim.

Nong Note’s family revealed that she was the main provider for the household, working in Pattaya to send money home to support her parents, and that she had previously worked in Taiwan. Her family is demanding the harshest possible punishment, including the death penalty, to achieve justice.

Seriously though, at least they are catching a few. What is disturbing is that for everyone of these sociopath nutjobs 10 slip through the cracks.

The place makes my skin crawl. It was tolerable at one point, now getting to be ferkin open sewer. .. You take a stroll down Soi Bukaou these days and that's just what you smell.

Nasty P.O.S.

I didn't even know that Boyztown wasn't a going concern anymore. I guess it makes sense with the drop off in British tourists from 2010 till now.

No one has to worry about punishment......This guy wont make it 6 months in the slammer if he is in the general population......He has no idea whats in store for him...

It's still going but very much diminished.

The focus has moved very much so to the Jomtien Complex area aka Super Town.

Kudo's to the cops, I can't imagine anybody leaving faster that this dude, comitting the crime around noon, and on a flight a few hours later, and STILL caught by Thai cops!

Whatever you say about the BIB, they do some things awfully well!

Tong Fu could have well been surprised by something unexpected 🤔
