I will have to make my way to the 24 hour 711 to buy a classic Aussie meat pie and much cheaper here (Australia) than that "rip off " pie shop in Pattaya/Jomtien

Anyway can we please get back to the subject thanks !

This is fake nonsense. Many of the most long living people eat it daily for breakfast but suddenly it is a problem today? Right. Meanwhile nobody is actually focusing at unhealthy processed foods etc etc. They can't even tell what really caused it.

Live long and healthy, most energy, no over weight: a lot of eggs, bacon, meat and milk.

I've upped my egg intake the last year (1-3 a day) and my cholesterol is perfect

I've been eating eggs moderately all my 67+ years on this planet and have coffee with my milk - I really like it a light brown color in the cup. I JUST got back from the US with a doctor's report from bloodwork while I was visiting, and my cholesterol is perfect. I also exercise regularly and eat a proper diet most of the time.

Most healthy people can eat up to seven eggs a week without increasing their risk of heart disease. Some studies have shown that this level of egg consumption might even help prevent certain types of stroke and a serious eye condition called macular degeneration that can lead to blindness.

Long been known it is the yoke full of cholesterol.  I would think having 3 or 4 full eggs including yoke everuday is not the best.  Add, eating out they can be full of oil.

I usually mix half.  If 2 eggs just one yoke the other white only.

Also, some studies do say cholesterol is good and having it higher is not a problem.   A test one can get which I recently had is a CAC, Coronary Artery Calcium.  It is a CT scan to see the plaque in arteries.  Mine was fortunately zero although my cholesterol is 215.  The Doctor said zero is fantastic for my age and told me to just keep doing what I do.

Dr, Steven Lome is the quoted physician.

Along with eggs, he also recommends not eating red meat.

He is the founder of an organisation that advocates a plant-based diet.

I'll stick to my carb free diet of beef, bacon, salmon, eggs, and cheese....and vodka. :coffee1:

True, but you can have high cholesterol even without eating eggs, with a high meat diet or full fat dairy. Genetics also plays a role, as does not exercising regularly. I've eaten eggs almost daily,2-3. most of my life and my cholesterol is low. Eggs are some of the best protein sources we have. If cholesterol is a problem, you can use 3 whites and 1 yolk and it tastes almost the same.

One of the biggest lies revived.

Combined with the cholesterol lie where a researcher simply dropped results from countries where high cholesterol does not correspond with heart disease.

Also often overlooked: this is your total cholesterol. But there are different types of cholesterol.

The ratio of LDL/HDL is important. It should be less than 4 depending on other conditions.

We did not evolve by eating plants. In fact, they have been known to chuck out phytotoxins to protect themselves/poison the eater. I read S like this and it just makes me cringe. Look at any one food source and it can be taken apart and vilified by some donkey with an ‘ology. One should eat a balanced diet, of which beef and eggs are generally good and generally taken up readily by the body.

Cardiologist warns popular breakfast food is a 'cholesterol bomb'

Leading experts and researchers have highlighted how three types of food could increase someone's risk of developing high cholesterol and thus their risk of heart disease

So is it OK to eat eggs for lunch or dinner?

Oh yeah, more rubbish! When I was seven, I remember hearing that potato is causing cancer. Just eat what you like and balance your diet. Nothing more is needed.

Dont tell anyone what you eat here. Theres always someone who will tell you its bad for you

More recent broader research (outside this specific article) shows that for most healthy people, eating eggs in moderation (like one per day) is unlikely to cause harm, and eggs also provide valuable nutrients.

Like most things in life "moderation" not excess.

Total complete fear mongering bs. Three-six eggs a day every day for well over 50 years and never had any health issues and I’m a crusty old geezer. The brain needs cholesterol and trace minerals and eggs are a great source of brain food.

Let's ask AI ....

I'm pleasantly surprised that AI is not regurgitating the "conspiracy stuff" on eggs.

Nice job, AI !!

I just watched this recently .... personally, I am on board with this philosophy ...

Watch the GRAINS in the diet ...

It's not the high cholesterol in foods like eggs that is causing heart problems.

Before anyone believes this nonsense, do a little research.  Nothing could be further from the truth.
