We had guns.  We kicked them out twice.

Nothing like American determination.

  •
The Continental Congress established the Secret Committee of Correspondence to publicize the American cause in Europe, particularly in France. Benjamin Franklin, a well-known figure in Europe, was sent to Paris to negotiate with the French government. His celebrity status and diplomatic skills were instrumental in securing French assistance.
  • While France was eager to see Britain weakened, King Louis XVI was initially hesitant about formally recognizing the American rebellion due to concerns about the potential impact on his own monarchy. Before a formal alliance, France provided covert support, including arms and supplies, through figures like Pierre Beaumarchais. The Treaty of Alliance, signed in 1778, formalized the Franco-American alliance, committing both nations to mutual defense and providing crucial military and financial aid to the Americans.
France committed significant resources to the American Revolution, including warships, soldiers, and financial aid. French naval support and troops, particularly at the Battle of Yorktown, were critical to the American victory.

And yet all of this military might and power still couldn't stop a few terrorists flying planes into the heart of American commerce killing just under 3,000 innocent people and injuring thousands more......be afraid, be very afraid (sadly).

All you can do is insult. I remember the facts of what happened, seek the info online and input before you ask for proof. I'm not going to type tons of info just to educate you

Whereas you lot have problems remembering your 250 years of history, the rest of us examine world history over millennia.

A hyperlink to the source of what you stole is not typing tons of info.

It is the act of a chicken/coward/bully to drop bombs on a technologically and militarily inferior nation. A brave man would engage in talk to address problems between sworn enemies, rather than endanger the lives of innocent American citizens around the world.

That is exactly what President Trump did, so you must agree Trump is a brave man?:whistling:

Thanks for the laugh, and I think that you really believe that which you posted?!

Iran said they were willing to start talks with the US, once Israel stopped their bomb attacks. However the US puppet president held absolutely no sway over Netanyahu, who just brushed him off like a pesky fly and carried on with the bombing, so Iran would not sit across the negotiating table because of this, and Trump and his cronies decided to drop the bombs.

Trump is an clown and a dumb one at that and he would have been unable to have an intelligent conversation regarding peace, so urged on by his cronies, he gave the go-ahead, which may well have long lasting repercussions for the US and people/countries associated with it.

Just to back that up, he said he was going to stop the war between Russia and Ukraine in 24 hours, yet so far he's been unable to do anything about it, again being brushed off like a pesky fly.

So the overarching conclusion has to be that Trump is neither a brave, nor a smart man, in any way, shape or form and he has undoubtedly proven this.

Look who has now come out of irrelevance.  He just made a speech in Paris a day after the US strikes.

Looks like his old man. Does he really think he will be the next Shah?

I was answering a specific comment, but as usual you deflect because you cannot rebut without writing total drivel.

Any way a moot point now as there will be a cease fire!

This is excellent news. Ten years ago our collective jaws dropped when Saint Barack signed that appalling deal with Iran, now Trump has made it clear - no deals with this devil.

You'd need to have been touched in the head to not recognize how extraordinarily dangerous it would have been to the world if these nutters had managed to create a nuke. Utterly absurd that they were allowed to even get close to doing so. Absurd.

Exclusive: Early US intel assessment suggests strikes on Iran did not destroy nuclear sites, sources say

Updated 4:54 PM EDT, Tue June 24, 2025

The US military strikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities last weekend did not destroy the core components of the country’s nuclear program and likely only set it back by months, according to an early US intelligence assessment that was described by four people briefed on it.

The assessment, which has not been previously reported, was produced by the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Pentagon’s intelligence arm. It is based on a battle damage assessment conducted by US Central Command in the aftermath of the US strikes, one of the sources said.

But the early findings are at odds with President Donald Trump’s repeated claims that the strikes “completely and totally obliterated” Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth also said on Sunday that Iran’s nuclear ambitions “have been obliterated.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told CNN in a statement:  Everyone knows what happens when you drop fourteen 30,000 pound bombs perfectly on their targets: total obliteration.”

https://edition.cnn.com/2025/06/24/politics/intel-assessment-us-strikes-iran-nuclear-sites

DTRA had originally recommended tactical nuclear weapons.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jun/19/trump-caution-on-iran-strike-linked-to-doubts-over-bunker-buster-bomb-officials-say

The issue is not whether a GBU-57 is dropped onto a target, but whether if it can penetrate the target to the necessary 300 feet depth.

I haven't been keeping with this situation but I was surprised and shocked that the US attacked Frodo.

What did Frodo ever do to the US?

Interesting to see usual suspects trying to diminish the successful, dangerous daring raid by the B2 and its supporting aircraft that had been planned for years before. Based on one disputed and leaked early assessment report to CNN that is in stark contrast to all other assessments after. The fact is that the IAEA is going to be the only body who will find out the true extent of the damage. They have requested access from Iran. Their current assessments are that there was significant damage to the centrifuges.

(as above) Karoline Leavitt told CNN:

Everyone knows what happens when you drop fourteen 30,000 pound bombs perfectly on their targets: total obliteration.”
