After an absence of 2 1/2 years (before 14 years living here ...) i jumped over once more and saw many changes , example i find nowhere in the local Lotus  nor Big C   tea bags  ..... local ones or Lipton's  ?? Any suggestions ??

Coffee enough supply ..... i wonder about the tea , as so many Brits here it can not be no tea available 🤭

Lipton's disappeared from the shops a couple of years ago, and good riddance. It's the most insipid, nasty rubbish you can (or can't) buy.

Villa has all types: PG Tips, Twinings etc, but not cheap. Tops also has Twinings and other teas.

If you really want Lipton's there are loads of vendors selling it on Lazada.

Tea bags are in all the expat shops including The Pantry and also most 7/11s and most supermarkets including the Friendship etc etc

In short: no shortage of teabags.

BTW Where HAVE the teabags gone?

You haven't been very observant. Big C Extra and on Suk have had very prominent displays of Taylors Yorkshire tea bags (all be it not cheap) for some months now..........

If you are looking around Big-CX, because of remodeling it isn't possible to find anything except rice and coca cola! Prior to that they  had plenty Yorkshire Tea, and the one the monkeys like, PG Tips, plus some of the local stuff.  I stick to Yorkshire myself.

Just a question.

Is Yorkshire tea really much better than PG Tips? See both in Villa, but Yorkshire much more expensive.

Long time since I knowingly had PG Tips but I used to always have Typhoo and I changed to Taylors Yorkshire as I think it is stronger and I could get at least 2 decent strength cups out of 1 bag.........(I drink a lot more tea than the average)

Plenty of Typhoo tea bags on Lazada

150bht for 100 tea bags Inc delivery.

And I also like Tata Gold loose leaf breakfast tea

190bht for 500gm (200 cups) Inc delivery.

I think it was you that mentioned making your own on an earlier thread.

I use Tata Gold. 7x9 bags. 2 tsp a bag. Beats the rest hands down for taste.

I am a tea addict - I drink at least 10 cups a day (and 1 coffee for the benefit of Evenkeel - so I guess I must be bisexual a little :cheesy:) It's becoming an expensive habit especially as I can no longer source boxes of 400+ which I used to bring from the UK.

I have a whole different definition of tea bagging.

Yeah, that was my initial thought as well when I first saw the title to this thread...  :cheesy:

I grew up drinking tea from a very early age. My older brother would always make fun of, saying older ladies drank tea.

In memory of my brother.

There is an abundance of tea in Thailand, any variety you like, not always available in bags, often loose. Twinings sell a load of tea, loose and bagged, but you need a mortgage. Yorkshire Tea (Lazada - 240 bags for about 700 Baht)

Try the loose stuff, much better taste and much better value. English Tea like Typhoo, PG Tips are usually available (picked from the grassy slopes surrounding Oldham and Chorley)

There are some really good Jasmine Teas around, try Tenju or Jonesgroup.

The Expat shops (Like Siamburys) normally carry PG Tips and Yorkshire tea bags. I do understand that supply can be a bit hit and miss though.
