Thaksin's Health Declines: Hypertension, Hair Loss, Insomnia

So has 80% of the population,No reason to get dramatic about it ,a couple BP pils and on ya way psycho back to your cell.

Hair loss That's a laugh ,Shaved head How tf can one lose hair.

A bit off Stress, That's normal when one gets locker up,he'll get over that.

Losing hair?

Must release him immediately!

But still waiting for a photo with his real hair colour which is not black. Real colour is grey or white.

Just more games. He'll be admited to police hospital soon.

Sudden loss of hair? B.S.   and you dont need to shave it to look like that either. My rele in Bkk with psych disorder pulls out hairs one at a time. Nearly bald.

Sleep disturbance? They use this as a method of control, right?

The lights are kept on all night. He had a chance to enforce the UN Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners (the Mandela Rules) of Adequate sleep, Reasonable privacy And Protection from unnecessary noise or light when he was PM, but Thailand has always refused to adhere, waking prisoners every two hours for roll call. Now he complains of hairloss, poor thing.

Sadly the efforts to eradicate the drug issue was not enough, it is rife in the communities still.

Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra is experiencing health issues, including high blood pressure, sleep disturbances, and hair loss, as reported by his daughter Paetongtarn after a family visit Thursday morning to Klong Prem Central Prison. The visit, which included Paetongtarn, her sister Pintongta, and their husbands, was their second to the prison but was cut short due to Thaksin's condition.

Previously, Thaksin met with his family for a brief 15-minute conversation. Paetongtarn expressed concern over her father's health, noting his fatigue and difficulty sleeping, though she mentioned he was still in good spirits and managed a smile. The family observed that Thaksin's hair loss might be related to stress, and Paetongtarn was uncertain about his eating habits in prison.

Upon the family's arrival at the prison, red-shirt supporters offered amulets and a portrait of a monk as gifts, intended to bring blessings to the Shinawatra family. However, these items were not brought inside the prison due to lack of prior permission. The family dressed formally for the visit, with Pintongta bearing a letter for Thaksin from his seven grandchildren, as a gesture of their affection.

Thaksin's routine in prison involves waking at 6 am and retiring at 9:30 pm. His activities include reading, watching TV, and light exercise. Medical care is ongoing, with a psychologist scheduled to meet Thaksin during routine checkups for new inmates. His family has deposited funds for his expenses, with a limit of 500 baht per day, primarily used for food and snacks.

OMG, A 76 yo male experiencing hair loss. I think they should be sending him home asap before this condition develops into something more serious. If the Drs detect wrinkles its game over to old Takky!

Here we go again.

Why has his visit with a psychologist  been postponed when he only has slightly high BP?  Unbelievable.

The Corrections Department reported on Friday that inmate Thaksin Shinawatra's blood pressure was slightly high, so his appointment with a psychologist had to be postponed. The results of his lung X-ray are personal information and will not be released, however.

Season 2 of "14th Floor" then will entertain the Thai public for the coming winter

Hair loss maybe it’s from him using black dive for the last 25-30 yrs TIT

I suppose this is the fate of aging would be populist dictators who use their time in office to insult and berate the opposition and to engage in corruption to enrich themselves and stay in power.
Hmmm. Reminds me of someone else who has somehow escaped that fate so far.

I believe an entire nation seems to be under significant stress, akin to widespread high blood pressure, ever since his return. Yet, life moves on; everyone continues with their daily routines, except for Ajarn Tony. Hair loss? It's hardly a big deal. Sleep troubles? He has access to a psychiatrist who can easily provide sleeping pills. In fact, he should count himself lucky. Surrounded by Ladyboys year-round without spending a dime, he enjoys what others travel great distances for and pour substantial money into experiencing. For him, it's a 365-day, all-inclusive package.

Hypertension, Hair Loss, Insomnia ? I’ve got all that too – only difference is I’m not banged up. Him? Hard to say… might be ‘inside’, might be in the prison spa suite with Sky Sports and room service.

If he dies while he's in prison there will be big problems in this country.

Best news I heard about him. I believe it is called Karma. I hope he doesn't expect any empathy.

The other 99% of prisoner are lucky to get a bowl of rice while Tony gets 5 star service, which is less than he is use to which is causing his hair to fall out....

yeah and.

Should I worry Thaksin has given an order to have me killed ?

Police have raided my house a dozen times over the past 20 yrs... clean as a whistle (house and my urine).

Perhaps he should have served his sentence when he was younger instead of running away. Even when he came he lied to get out of it. Do we know if he lied to his daughter, the then PM, or if she covered up for his lies?

Blood pressure is very common,  I have it, or I would have if I didn't take tablets. Sometimes I don't sleep well but I'm not losing my hair but it's not unusual as we get older.

Prison is probably partly to blame so maybe we should let him out, and anyone else in prison who isn't feeling too good.
