Judging by the state if the UK, he was solely exercising freedom of expression, an arrestable and jailable office in his home town. 

I wonder how many Brits who used to go to Benidorm/Torremolinos/Magaluf were attracted to Thailand by the legalisation of cannabis? They don't have a very good reputation in those places either. The same types who can turn the town centers of Britain into war zones on weekend nights.

Thailand and California share something in common: they both attract every conceivable type of nutcase. 

You would you could make an argument that this is something to be expected from some of the rather low quality tourists that Phuket is attracting these days. Not impressive. 

 

Or maybe he just wanted a moment of fame, and he knew that the clip would no doubt go viral.
