This was in Patong which is in Phuket,

The second one in a few days that dies in Thailand..Many tourists don't return home when on holiday here.. I think that it will influence the image of Thailand as safe tourist destination.... Hope the RTP will do proper work to find out what really happened

How would he have reincarnated? What animals have a gestation and birth of less than 24 hours?

Reincarnation is a myth so why not go along with a mythical gestation period, they both make as much sense as each other.

That is false, "many" do not get into that situation but a very small number do.  99.99% return home safely.

Very sad at such a young age.  RIP and prayers go out to your family left behind.

Nonsense, it is not "all in Thailand", you think that no one died anywhere else yesterday?

Why mention Pattaya? 🤔

You didn't.

I "double quoted" you and  @Johno57 who said "Seems a common occurrence in Pattaya" and you replied to him thus:

where is your comment on the article instead of commenting on what people write here on the forum?? No own opinion of teh article don't bother others.. you never contribute anything except negative comments on others.. You seemed to be all knowing but we all know in fact you don't know anything

Leaving aside the fact that my comment was 100% accurate, where is the rule that I am contravening that dictates how members post on this forum?   My comments are opinions on what appears on the forum and you are not in any position to tell others how to post.

"...we all know in fact you don't know anything"

Demonstrably false.

Ironically, while you are berating me for commenting on what other people write here you are commenting on what other people write here!  You're allowed to but I'm not?

Yes — white socks (the clothing) are very common.

  • They’re widely worn for sports, gym, and casual outfits, since they pair well with sneakers.

  • In more formal or business settings, black, navy, or gray socks are generally preferred instead of white.

  • In many countries, younger people and athletes wear them daily, while older or more formal dressers may avoid them.

So: common in casual wear, rare in formal wear.

  • A blog post “20 Top Socks Statistics in 2025” claims that black, white, and gray are the most popular sock colors globally, accounting for over 70% of sock sales worldwide.

why oh why, do they bother sending so many police officers to the crime scene?

all they need to do is photograph the corpse, and the   World class AN pathology department  will have a verdict in seconds.
doeant matter that a loved one might get sight of this, you cannot stand in the way of progress

It's a crime scene, so officers who specialise in different departments have to attend the scene to try to determine what happened and if there is any evidence to be kept for further investigation, before the deceased can be moved.

As for the AN Pathology department goes, lets keep free-speech alive.

Look sometimes young healthy people just drop dead for no reason at all stop asking questions. Science is about listening to authority not questioning anything.

• The body has been sent for toxicology tests as the cause of death remains unclear.

So You'll find out when the result comes back,Won't Yer ??

Well, no, its unlikely we won't because there is never any follow up to these reports that we (public) would get to read on forums such as this.

The cause could have been anything - RIP to the victim and condolences to his family - Obviously its of significant imporance for them to learn of the cause of his demise. However, for the rest of us, us also of 'interest' for reasons primarily concerning self preservation...

... i.e. was it a heart issue, other comorbidity, stroke etc, or 'something' else....

Not quite true - a young friend (similar age) passed away while on holiday in Europe - just by the pool in the day time. Heart failure, she was otherwise fit and healthy with an unknown underlying heart condition - very sudden, no warning signs, devastating for her parents.

From a 'selfish' point of view - I'd like to know the death can be tracked down to 'dodgy booze' etc or something similar...  I don't think its heartless to want to know 'how' etc...  while at the same time feeling heart felt condolences to family and friends.

Weren't there a few more of these earlier in the year?  Younger people died for no obvious reason?

I know in Laos the moonshine has been a problem.

I think this is why its important for the 'cause of death' to be made public, if its something such as this and in the interest of the public eye...

I'm now very conscious of any cocktail I have in a bar here - we just don't know whats in it anymore. I'm not suggesting this is the cause of death - however, its one concern that would be good to 'eradicate'.

On 9/29/2025 at 12:01 PM, save the frogs said:

there's no reports of that in thailand, as far as i know.

No reports of 'deaths' officially attributed to Methanol Poisoning from bootlegged liquor.

However, there are numerous reports of 'bootlegged liquor' in Thailand over the past number of years - its a huge issue, involves organised crime and back-handers, transport slips through authorities and any admittance of such an issue causing deaths in Thailand could be devastating to the tourism industry.....

... While I have no factual information on possible casualties - it would not surprise me at all if the severity of such issues was covered up here.

It was mentioned in the article.

If you have issue with this, you should take it up with the OP.

It happens all over the world equally,  you just only ever read about it in Thailand.
