Police in Pattaya are investigating claims by an Indian man who reported being attacked and robbed by two ladyboys, in his hotel room early on the morning, October 8. The incident, which took place in South Pattaya, has prompted officers to review CCTV footage amid growing doubts about the man’s account.

The victim, identified as 60-year-old Satish, told Mueang Pattaya Police that he was assaulted around 02.30 after bringing one of the suspects to his room for sexual services. According to his statement, he met the ladyboy outside the hotel after returning from exploring the city. He was allegedly offered sexual services, which he accepted, before going to his room.

Following the encounter, Satish said an argument broke out, prompting the ladyboy to leave. Moments later, the ladyboy returned with another. One of them allegedly sprayed a chemical substance into his face, causing severe eye irritation and temporary blindness. The pair then reportedly assaulted him, leaving him with injuries to his left elbow.

While the Indian man was disoriented, one of the suspects allegedly entered the room and stole 7,000 baht in cash, his mobile phone and a room key before both fled. Satish said the incident took less than two minutes. Police officers who arrived at the scene recorded his injuries and began reviewing security footage from the hotel and nearby areas.

However, investigators have expressed scepticism over Satish’s version of events. Channel 7 reported that police suspect the man may have lodged the complaint for alternative motives, such as to support an insurance claim. Authorities have not ruled out any possibilities and are continuing to gather evidence to verify the allegations.

Well, as they can't ban the indian tourists (TOT) wouldn't like that, which leaves the khathoys. ban them as it won't cost any money.

An insurance claim? For what? 7000 baht and a cell phone? Neither are insurable as far as i know.

I'm going to err on the side of the Indian guy. If it was an insurance scam there would be a 2 kilogram gold necklace on the list of missing items.  If it was a genuine robbery, said necklace would (usually) also be on the list of missing items.

He's only claiming 7k cash and a phone was nicked. Ergo, either he's really honest, or really stupid. :coffee1:

as with girls not only ladyboys, stick to the ones at the agogo bars. stay away from freelancers.

Indian men need sign a disclaimer upon arrival that they wont call police after being robbed by ladyboys  😂

Chemical attacks are a truly heinous crime, and I think they should be treated in an entirely different category as a typical assault. Perhaps a mandatory 20 or 30 year prison sentence, or perhaps even something more severe.

The pain and suffering from the rejection of sex may be his next claim

It is a sublimit on many residential insurance policy, I have the equivalent of  5,000 baht if stolen from my home or a hotel room.

It it is treated like any other stolen property, but the sublimit is part of my total limit of insurance. in order to claim I need a police report and it is payable excess of the policy self retention (claim deductible).

So even before the cops have reviewed CTV footage, they are implying he is a liar, my guess; he  realized they weren't ladies and refused 'her' 'service'

Why would you report it to the cops if his story is not true.

What no gold chains i dont believe it insurance companies will stop insuring these people soon

Seems to be quite popular amongst Indians against ex lovers.

If the ladyboy left after an argument, why would he open the door when 2 show up?  It's near 3AM already.

Of course there's more to this story, but as it's just another 'Indian v ladyboy in Pattaya' event and nobody will tell the truth, I've already lost interest.

Regardless of the circumstances here I am willing to bet that the same ladyboys are committing crimes over and over. They probably keep them in jail one night and let them go in the morning with a small fine. Isn’t it time to lock up the serial offenders and lose the key for a while ?

I wonder what the insurance claim will be lost gold chain or knowing he was robbed  and he should have known better

This was a simple misunderstanding. If he wants the good ladyboys, they're in East Pattaya. The wicked ladyboys stay in the West. Just follow the yellow brick road.
