A fight between two foreign tourists erupted on Pattaya Beach Road in the early hours of 25 December 2025, briefly causing alarm among bystanders and other visitors in the busy seaside area. The incident unfolded in the middle of the road near Soi 13/2, Chonburi province, before the men eventually separated and left the scene. No official injuries were reported, but the confrontation drew a crowd and disrupted the atmosphere at one of Pattaya’s most prominent tourist locations.

According to reports on 25 December 2025, the altercation occurred at around 01.00 when large numbers of tourists were still walking along the beachfront road. A bystander captured the incident on a video clip, which later circulated online. The footage shows two foreign men exchanging punches in the middle of the street as Thai and foreign onlookers gathered nearby.

The clip depicts a chaotic scene, with some members of the crowd attempting to intervene and separate the pair, while others were seen watching and cheering. The confrontation ended without police intervention when both men stopped fighting and walked away in different directions.

Ms Prichard, aged 45, a local vendor who filmed the incident, told reporters that the dispute began with a minor shoulder bump as the two tourists passed each other. She said the contact led to a heated verbal exchange, including aggressive shouting and insults, despite attempts by locals to calm the situation. Fearing that other tourists could be harmed, she and others tried to pull the men apart.

Ms Prichard explained that the situation escalated when neither party backed down, resulting in a physical fight in the middle of the road. During the scuffle, a local resident’s motorcycle parked nearby was knocked over and damaged. Shortly afterwards, both tourists disengaged and left the area before authorities arrived.

Amarin reported that the incident has highlighted concerns about alcohol-fuelled disputes and crowd behaviour in busy nightlife zones, particularly during peak holiday periods. While no arrests were reported, the video prompted renewed discussion among residents and business operators about maintaining order and ensuring visitor safety in Pattaya.

Authorities have not announced further action, but local observers expect increased monitoring of popular beachfront areas during late-night hours. Vendors and residents have called for continued vigilance to prevent similar incidents during the year-end tourism season.

Ms Prichard is a very Thai name 🙂

Last year, I was walking along the shop side of beach road during the day time.  It was quite busy.  A 'farang' guy was walking along and deliberately bumping his shoulder into other foreigners, trying to start a fight perhaps.  He didn't seem drunk, just a knobhead...

Looks like they're ballroom dancing in this shot.

I saw saw school yard scraps back in my elementary school days with better punching than that

Skinny jeans handled it well and assume pink shirt was drunk or lacks coordination.  Two yuppies going at it to everyone's amusement until it just got too silly and a few stepped in and pulled off the pink shirt fool.

Looks just like my backyard in my country. Thanks for the reminder.

Btw, I love Pattaya and Jomtien. With or without the knobheads (yes, there are some, but you'll find those everywhere).

To completely drunk bozos neither of which had the humility to just simply say sorry, and neither of which had any fighting skills whatsoever.

It might have been amusing if it were not so pathetic.

What's all the agro about these days? I'm an old geezer now but decades ago when I came to Pattaya I felt like the king of the castle and I was as happy as could be sitting in a bar with a cutie on my knee, and banging away all night long. Getting agro and fighting were the furtherest things from my mind, and everyone else around me was in the same frame of mind back then. I can't recall ever seeing punchups back in the 70s,80s,90s.

I was going to say that looked like a love dance and not a brawl.
