Police in Pattaya have detained two people after an alleged public indecency incident involving a Thai woman and a foreign national on Pattaya Beach, directly opposite Pattaya City Police Station. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of 23 January, prompted complaints from tourists and drew immediate police action due to its public nature.

According to police, at around 04.00, Pol Capt Chaowalit Suvarnamanee, Deputy Inspector of Patrol at Pattaya City Police Station, received a report from tourists who said a Thai woman was committing an obscene act with a foreigner. Officers were told the act involved oral sex carried out openly on the beach.

The report followed the circulation of video footage recorded by a member of the public who witnessed the incident. The footage showed a Thai woman, reportedly from Bangkok engaging in the act with a foreign man in a highly visible public space along the beachfront.

Police who attended the scene confirmed that the foreign man was initially unable to produce identification documents, but was later identified as a 34 year old British national.

The Thai woman initially told police she was from Singapore and thought they had done nothing illegal. CH 7 reported that the Thai woman was identified as Nucharee, 61 years old. Both individuals admitted to the act after being confronted with the video evidence obtained from witnesses at the scene.

The incident took place in a busy and prominent area of Pattaya Beach, directly opposite the local police station, increasing public attention and concern. Officers said the behaviour was considered offensive and inappropriate in a public place, particularly in an area frequented by tourists and local residents.

Police seized the video clip recorded by tourists as evidence and placed both suspects under arrest at the scene. Pol Capt Chaowalit Suvarnamanee stated that the pair were taken into custody and formally handed over to investigators for further legal proceedings.

Authorities said the case would be handled in accordance with legal procedures, with investigators responsible for determining the specific charges to be pursued. The name of the British national was not released by police at this stage. Investigators are now reviewing the evidence and will proceed with the case under the relevant sections of the law.

It is already there but fortunately it happens behind closed doors, doors opened for the price of a beer.

I suppose the Thai woman knew what she was doing and that this kind of behavior is not accepted in Thailand... Why did she continue or not stopped the man and said to go to a hotelroom or so ....They were not foreign young tourists who could not control their hormones
