Roads were arbitrarily closed & pointless diversions; eg after getting to 2nd Road on Klang, you were not allowed to carry straight on to Beach Road but had to turn right & go down Soi Sex. As always not a sight of one single cop during this mayhem as drivers got more desperate and parked in the striped boxes creating a denser logjam. Pattaya police must be the most inept force in a country of inept forces!

One thing not yet taken into account, the exponential increase in car rental agencies all over Pattaya. You really can't drive 1/2Km on any major Pattaya area soi and not pass a rental agency, many of which seem to be controlled by Russians. The price of rentals has also dropped dramatically. B1000/day used to be the norm, now B500 and sometimes less for older cars is common.

On a busy weekend, I wouldn't be surprised if several thousand rentals were part of the traffic.

So pretty much normal then. As they build more and more condos it will only continue to get worse. I don't even bother trying to go anywhere on a scooter after around noon unless I have to. Especially weekends.

I live on the Dark Side. I took motor bike taxis on Saturday & didn't enjoy the experience. I often drive into town to play table tennis now that The Ambassador can no longer pay its electricity bills. Mostly it's OK - I think this weekend was special.

Over 13 years.

We infrequently go into Central Pattaya and only use our 2 regular mb taxi stands. So far so good🫰

Yup, maybe it was a bizzy w/end.

Not sure if driving or parking in Central Pattaya would be worse on any given day!

I'll stick to driving in the provinces.
