Revenge! Thai wife hangs herself and son, 2, at home of husband's mistress next door

A Thai wife - stressed that her husband was arranging for his mistress to move in next door - went there while it was unoccupied.

She hanged the couple's two year old son from a beam in the house then hanged herself.

Police who arrived at the house in the Klong Toei estate in Sanam Chai Khet, Chachoengsao found 26 year old "Neung" and 2 year old "Song" (assumed names) dangling from the ends of nylon cord.

Decomposition had set in and they had been dead about three days. A plastic chair was also in the room.

Neung's mother said they lived with her and the woman's husband at a property next door.

Her daughter's husband was a serial philanderer who had many wives and was always out. He had acquired the property next door so that his mistress could move in.

Neung was so upset about this arrangement that she was in a state of constant stress. She left the house three days ago and did not return. The mother imagined that she had gone to stay with friends elsewhere to help relieve her stress.

The bodies of her daughter and grandson were found when the previous owner of the next door property came to retrieve some items they had left behind.

Daily News reported that when the husband arrived and saw what had happened he was smitten by grief.

Neung's mother said she would not press any charges in the matter.

  • The other way around would have been much better, hang yourself first and then the little one stupid old cow, what did the little one did to you that you ended his life just to spite your husband...

  • He should have been smitten with something a lot heavier.

Would have been more appropriate to remove his  d***....... and feed it to the ducks, I believe is the usual response from Thai females.   Sad story, tragic outcome, RIP little one.

Very magnanimous of her.  I wonder what charges she thought that she may have been able to bring against him when it was her own daughter who murdered her grandchild?   Is philandering an offence now?

Probably the outcome the husband was thinking of. Now no need rent the house next door.

This is top of the pile of shocking in the land of shocking what a tragic story ????RIP

This behaviour makes sense if you understand the Thai attitude and belief about reincarnation. Death is simply a reset button in the game of life.

^Reincarnation is all well and good, until they start using heavy machinery and vehicles.

Now I understand why Thais drive do badly...it’s just a reset button

the 2 year old got robbed of his life...she must not have truly loved her son....more like she resented him b/c of his genetic make up

not a lot of empathy then today.
seems most people looking at this sad event neglect that someone's life was ruined by a husband, what drove her to, in sane people's mind, an irrational deed.

No one to take care of her, and no one to take care of her son.
What is there left to do ...

So sad, may they RIP.

Big loss of face for the wife for the mistress to live next door. Thus she hanged herself in the same house to spite the mistress as Thais are afraid to live in houses where somebody had died in especially one in this case.

Not sorry for the house owners though now that they would have a hard time to rent out the house in the near future. They should do the right thing and reject the husband’s proposal to rent for his mistress.

Husband is a real prick to initiate the arrangement. Hope she haunt him for life.

Possibly a way to ensure hubby would never have a mistress next door as now the house has 2 ghosts haunting it. It'll be empty forever.

Mom and son will be reincarnated with a hubby that isn't a worthless pos.

Agree. Sad as it was, her thinking probably went along the lines of making sure the mistress would never live there.

The OP said he had acquired the property. A double whammy, as it is worthless now. Perhaps that's why he was smitten with grief.

And anyone who believes that is as daft as them !

a few years ago a famous model shot herself in her hi so condo. she was the face on a brand of shampoo and print/tv ads. they couldn't pay anyone to rent that condo until a western guy happily moved in. he invided all the neighbors to a house warming party, food, drink and big screen tv movie. know what the movie was?  "ghostbusters" .   he couldnt believe how silly the ghost fear was.

no thai people in the building went

Though it would have required some effort, a woman with some self esteem and pride, would have simply left with her child and made sure the husband could never find them. Start over again. Leave the worm behind. It is one thing to have a mistress, or fool around on your woman. It is quite another to rub it in her face like that and humiliate her. He is not a man. He is some sort of swamp creature. A reptile.

That aside, this was a rather bizarre, extreme and totally insane thing to do.

If anyone should have been hung, I'd vote for hubby. A well hung cheating hubby could be a lesson for all

It's hard to imagine a woman, scorned or not, wanting to murder the child she gave life to just to hurt someone else. Not to mention that hanging would be a brutal way to murder anyone.

It's their damn ' I will be reborn' thinking.

after this terrible trauma, i don't see the notorious philanderer preying on womed

Sadly, somewhat similar things happen in divorces where one spouse tries to use the children as a way to hurt the other spouse.

Agree!  sadly the thinking in this case.  Son, to Asian males Thai included, is number#1 passes on the name etc. killing the son you get it?  that is the revenge part.

For a nano second... then he'll be consoled by his mistress!

I think the title is very distasteful. I realize it is probably a direct translation from a Thai newspaper, but Thai Visa should do better.

thailand, hub of mental diseases

is it the hot weather that drive people crazy ?  the msg ? the pesticides ? the lack of education ? too much brainwash since birth ?
