Weird goings on at Chiang Mai police station: Naked woman who speaks only English!

Cops at the Chiang Mai police station were alerted to the fact that there was a naked woman in their midst.

 

A member of the public said that the woman appeared to be sunbathing on the Western side of the station.

 

They went to investigate and found the woman reeking of alcohol. The good Samaritan had already spared her blushes with some clothes.

 

She claimed that a man had removed her apparel but she was babbling. A perusal of her person revealed Thai ID and the fact that she is 40 and from the Doi Luang area of Chiang Rai.

 

When her demeanor had calmed she called her relatives but this only compounded the mystery. She would only speak in English.

 

A card indicated that she was a patient at Suan Prung Hospital - a well known psychiatric facility in the northern Thai city.

 

She was taken there as the police did not really know what to do with a semi-naked woman babbling in English. It was not in the manual.

 

Thai Rath reported that earlier the woman had been taken to the police station by a concerned driver of one of the city's red song thaews.

 

He had seen her wandering the streets near the Tha Pae gate and feared she would have an accident.

What is 'in the manual' apart from collecting tea money, drinking on duty, riding without a helmet, riding/driving down the wrong side of the road, parking on a red line, ingoring red light jumpers and various other motoring offences, charging people to 'negotiate' who is right/wrong about accidents, adding superfluous medals/pieces of junk/wings to uniforms, taking brown envelopes from business's to 'protect' them, selling second-hand firearms to the highest bidder etc etc etc, ad infinitum !

Something highly unusual happens every day in the bigger cities of the world. Like here in Amsterdam, kalashnikov-shootouts between rival non-Dutch druggangs are interspersed with naked people on bicycles promoting nudity, and just the other day a cut- off head in front of a shopwindow as a warning to the owners. Last week some palistinian took it upon himself to wreck a long-established Jewish restaurant, throwing bricks through the window and setting fire.

Yep, makes me choke on my coffee allright. What joy.

Good English lessons at the psychiatric facility?

Or a senior bar maid driven crazy and forgot her language?

The main problem is that she is the only one that speaks English.

Did they test her for drugs ? Probably full of it.

I don't believe anything I can't see with my own eyes, so where is the photographic evidence this happened! ????

I am guessing they didn't have to search her for weapons

If she was wearing a wet T-shirt they would have arrested her.

So a poosible nut case speaks English while totally sane can not learn any ????

Mental illness is no laughing matter, but I suppose there will always be TV posters that get their jollies and titillation out of the woman being naked. Sad, how would you like to be insane, alone, and helpless?
