Two years after a Japanese man went missing on Doi Inthanon in Chiang Mai, his son has again appealed for help in tracing his dad.

Kinya Nakamura, 82, went missing from the Somdej Mae flower garden on Thailand's tallest mountain. He had been with his son.

He was wearing a blue shirt and white pants, he had a Dunlop cap and black trainers and was 168 cms tall.

He could speak Japanese and English and a little Thai.

His son Shinya Nakamura offered 150,000 baht as a reward to anyone who could give information that would lead to the family being reunited with their father.

Two phone numbers to call were published.

Other attempts to trace Mr Nakamura have been made in the past.

Don’t you think it’s been too long? By the way, 150k is nothing.

Not if you have lost your job and cannot receive the 5,000 baht one off.

The guy is trying to find his dad. Maybe it's all he could afford. If it's nothing to you then maybe you can match him 150k to help him and put your money where your mouth is.

USD $4500 is nothing? There are many people who would appreciate that little bit of peanuts. Me for one. And I have money.

Your compassion is amazing.

Therw are many with hearts & sympathy for this guys plight, but why do these heartless keyboard warriors take the time to make these comments. If you cant be nice go wander in the traffic.

Wonder if they tried asking at the temples.

Or in the hills, he fell and lost the way. Dementia?

Just hoping for the best and that he is still around there,

unknowingly who he is.

Some people have parents worth looking for no matter the price.

Yes , more information pls. In what circumstances did he become separated from his son ? If not his son , who was the last person he was seen with ?

Is the reward “ dead or alive”? Just asking.

I trust closure comes...

They don't think. They post flippantly because it doesn't affect them, and potentially also to obtain likes. Sad. Wondering if they'd behave that way if their dad got abducted or fell off the side of a mountain.
