Satheuan, the mother of the shooter said that the two men arrived to make trouble with her sons. They had a long running feud.

They started aiming at each other with stones from catapults. Then the other men got knives.

So her son got a gun and shot them.

Nopparat then fled into the woods.

Cha-Am police are looking for him, reported 77kaoded.

That cop on the left did a shocking job at pointing at the body, he put no "heart" into it. I give his pointing skill a 3/10 at best.

Never bring a catapult to a gun fight

I was thinking of a catapult being like a siege machine to hurl objects over walls. Like when we would use them to launch pumpkins in the US after Halloween. Of course tbey would be catapulted 50 to 75 yards before exploding upon hitting the ground.

Terrible, however, the writer needs to understand the difference between a catapult and a slingshot.

In Thailand, "slingshot" translates to หนังสติ๊ก (catapult) and visa-versa.
(หนังสติ๊ก translates to "catapult" or "sling".)

We called them catapults as a kid.

The other things were called trebuchets.

Just call it having a wider vocabulary. ????

Rooster

sorry Jane,  they are sling shots,  a catapult is larger and usually used in roman warfare with large rocks.

a sling shot is hand held ... ????

but then again , i've never heard of a Trebuchet ... never ever .

You've got that wrong Rooster, a trebuchet is more like a massive slingshot on a frame powered by a large counterweight...                          Trebuchet Physics
